It’ll probably be super dead. I stayed at MAGfest until Monday (same location, smaller con) and everyone was cleared out by Sunday late afternoon. Staying until Monday isn’t bad though, because you don’t have to worry about the crazy check-out rush and parking garage traffic on Sunday.

"My black friend said I can!" gives you room to use it in front of your black friend, not all black people. The smart thing to do if you're not black is to not use it at all (not even when singing songs or quoting movies) because, coming from a nonblack person, it may still sting like a slur to certain people. And yes, that includes coming from hispanics and other POC...even though many have the idea that it's only a bad thing if white people say it, it's really only a word that black people can take back because it's a word that specifically targets them.
