Homestuck and Undertale. UT is such an incredible game and I love it to death, but the fandom soured my impressions/associations with it for the longest time that I couldn't enjoy it fully.

As someone who has been going ot cons for over 10 years the worst cosplayers are hard to put a single label on. Like of, course, some bad shit tends to come from Steven Universe, Homestuck, almost anybody at come between ages 12 and 18 etc. But honestly the worst people I have encountered have been far too unique and bizarre to label.

My personal least favorite con person atm:

>Including stuff that just shouldn't be like Anastasia's ballgown
>Puts herself at the center of attention of panels by loudly interjecting or volunteering as a game show contestant when she knows almost nothing remotely deep about games and anime

Nayrt, but anything that appeals to Tumblr's demographics always ends up attracting the most insufferable types of extreme Tumblrites, which then continue to color the fandom because of how vocal they are over their hypersensitivities. Plus, they tend to be hella socially awkward which paints them as social rejects and leaves poor impressions on their fellow con attendees. I attended a con a couple weeks back; the group that never followed social etiquette/cues, *literally* screamed all their conversations, and yelled Hamilton songs wherever they went (it's a good musical but wtf) was the young Tumblr crowd. The same young Tumblr crowd that always had SU cosplayers (and Homestuck, Undertale, etc.) at its center.

TL;DR - They're immature losers and make for poor representatives of a good thing (never watched SU so idk how "good" it is but w/e).

We walked around a convention holding hands (because that's what people sometimes do when they're in love) and I had several 15-year-olds come up to us and try to instigate an arguement about who Keith should be "shipped" with. I was a fan and cosplayer of Hetalia before the anime dropped and the meetups then at the con were small and really comfy
then the anime dropped and the fanbase exploded but it was still fun because it was a mix of the old small group and a ton of new fans

Nothing is inherently wrong with cosplaying anything, it’s just that certain fandoms tend to attract certain types of people and even if you aren’t spergy, cosplaying from that fandom runs the risk of being lumped in with the larger shitty fandom as a whole. As someone who is in this business for a bit less than a year, the worst kind, i'd say, are those who don't have the humility to ask what yoru character is, incorrectly trying to guess your character - unless they otherwise state they don't know the character you're portraying first.

In resume, those without humility and sense of humor are the worst. But gladly in this community those who are a true problem are easily noticed.
