anon who bought the purple bag here

the purple I bought was a bit redder than their colour swatch was, but construction of the bag is really nice. They put in pockets for daily use on the inside of the bag which I really appreciate and the bag is a standard backpack size.

My only problems with the bag is:
-the clear plastic is kinda thin and if you accidentally pinch it it may permanently crease.
-the insert is sewn at the bottom so it's really hard to plan out how I want to lay it out. This is my first itabag so I'm not sure if this is normal for other bags but I would have loved it if the insert was fully removable so I could plan better

Overall I still love it and may grab their messenger bag version in the new year :)

Oh my god why is everything for my bag coming out in January?! My AmiAmi order is reaching the $300 mark (noted with 3 nendoroids) but this happened last year too and MORE things came out this morning for preorder. I'm a compulsive husbando merch hoarder...I'm gonna need a third bag now and I haven't finished my first two. Does anyone else who order from AmiAmi notice that January/December orders tend to be crazier than usual? And oh jeez...C93 is on the horizon and my wallet is so scared.

So I ordered charms from an artist way back in July, and I still haven't gotten them. They've kept the people who preordered updated, sending us emails when they had issues with the charm manufacturer changing and such, but this was back in September. I emailed them in November around Thanksgiving asking them about the status, and they told me they would update me after Thanksgiving. It's now December, I haven't heard from them, and I sent them another email almost a week ago. I still haven't heard back, but they've been very active on Twitter. Should I contact them over Twitter or should I give them some more time to reply to my email? I have until January 17th to open a Paypal claim as well.

I'm always so hesitant because I know how stressful and busy artists who sell online and at cons can be, but I feel like this is a little ridiculous considering its been almost half a year and other people have received their charms.

I had a similar issue with an artist recently too. If they're on twitter, maybe send them a message explaining the situation? Usually people are more likely to check twitter or be notified when they get DMs. If they don't respond after a few days, then yeah, a paypal claim should be filed.

Different bags have different areas I'd say. But it's usually the sides of the bags where it seems like it flaps inward. Maybe I'm using the wrong word and maybe it's just a normal thing but I don't like how offputting it is.

Anon, that comes from the nature of plastic. It will sit fine when perfectly arranged and flat, but it will give less than fabric when it’s bent. You can’t do anything about that, and it has nothing to do with construction. The bag you like will do the same thing when moved.

It's not really a holiday treat since I got most of it during the last month, but I finally shipped out a bunch of orders and treated my self to EMS to make sure some gifts I got arrive in time. There's also some non-bag stuff in there( that bottom right pic is a cel that I got for 1400y!), and some sumikko prize plush that I couldn't get a picture of. A lot of the pokemon stuff is things I needed to finally start putting bags together, so that's also pretty exciting

Has anyone here successfully lightened a canvas base bag with a window panel in it? I ordered a base bag off taobao but the color of it looks off from the stock photos. Would bleach fuck up the vinyl/whatever clear material it is?

(I probably should have ordered a bag that had review photos of the color I wanted but that's too late now)

Requesting inspo for space fillers for bags! For example flowers like in pic related
The base bag I bought was way bigger than i thought it would be and I have gaps to fill on my charm/strap side. While i'm building up more merch I want something to fill the blanks- However, I went with a red base bag for Maki Nishikino whose colour is...red. So I'm finding it hard to pick something contrasting, and more red flowers/accessories seems overwhelming.

Ideas? Just general inspo is great too

As for colors, you could try black or blue? Black would match the piano, but blue would match the uniform and cool attribute.

Weirdly specific question, but does anyone have one of these Ita Maker smartphone purses?

I want a smaller one for the character I'm planning atm, and most of the merch is smaller buttons and charms. I have a charm coming that measures about 3 inches. On the website, the purse is listed as 9 cm or about 3.5 inches wide.

Basically I'm wondering, do you think a 3 inch piece of flat merch would fit in either of the windows, or are they too small? I'd rather have a tight fit than a bunch of extra space to fill, but if it won't fit the biggest charm then I don't want to bother buying it.

The "usable" area is roughly 2.5in tall, closer to 2in if you don't want the zipper to obscure parts.

Collecting old stamps is 100% about perceived value. I would also rather spend $500 on something other than a single charm or a single stamp, but to argue that one hobby is more valid than the other is stupid when they are virtually identical. Historic significance and sentimentality is perceived value. Emotional attachment to a character's birthday and sentimentality is perceived value. This argument is stupid and we're all stupid for engaging in it.

For example if you look for Lancer goods and use his real name; you can get different things depending on looking up lancer, Cu, and spelling Cu's name wrong.

Also when looking at the anime goods, if you look at the link that is "other items" (その他) you should be able to find random stuff.

Am i the only one having problems with buyee and their shipping? Ordered some keychains and other small stuffs and for the 3rd time now after i paid my shipping for seamail they refunded me saying that the package is oversized, so i have to use EMS.
Everytime the package has been smaller and smaller but they still say the same. Had no problems shipping with seamail in another country (now in US). I mean, its not even over 30kg or big/wide since its just keychains, small plushies and towels.
Im tired of paying 200$ for all the fees+EMS when the stuff is like worth half of that

Even more weird is that they always give me options for EMS, SAL, AIR and SEA but always go back to EMS after i pay

Buyee is good for buying large items at auction. Baking is gaining popularity, but it's still rather limited. There's really not the variety you see in the west, either. The overall skill level is probably a bit higher among Japanese home bakers than Americans, though they do lean on really simple cakes, like simple sponge with cream or sugar and fruit and chocolate messages. Icing and fondant aren't really things in Japan.

As someone who's used JSS before, I need to correct you on some things here.
1. Their commission fee is by order, based on total item price. 3k yen and under is 300y commission, anything above that is 10%.
2. Acquisition cost is charged in the second payment, and includes shipping, bank transfer fees, etc. For listings from mercari/fril/otamart, there's a charge of 100y. If the seller makes a dedicated page for your stuff, that might go up to 200y, and any shipping fees will go on top of that.

Also, I haven't been mentioning these guys outside of here very much, mostly out of fear of them becoming super popular and going to shit under the huge increase of demand. They don't seem as understaffed as Luxas, but I wouldn't wish what happened to them on any other proxy.

So I have kind of a dilemma here. My boyfriend bought me one of my grail items off eBay for my birthday and it was really overpriced. It's the only place I was able to find it and I've had it bookmarked for awhile now, and he surprised me with it.

It claimed to be brand new, and I got it today and it isn't. It's missing the backing card and you can tell that the wrapping it's in was handled (there's sticky fingerprints all over it.) as well as opened. I have a question similar to >>9721594. The color is lighter than I'd like, so I only need to dye my bag darker. Is there a way I should proceed without fucking up the vinyl? I was thinking that as long as it's cotton and I only use cotton dye it should be good, but I'd like a second opinion. Also is there a temperature I should stay below to avoid possibly warping the vinyl?

Also, what gauge vinyl should I buy for making custom strap covers or making a bigger vinyl bag to put my real bag in to prevent it from getting dirty?

I can't answer the dye question, but 12 gauge vinyl is what I've seen recommended for custom bag covers/ bases. I've used it myself, and it's thick and sturdy enough for heavy wear, but not so thick it's hard to work with.
