My friend asked me to split a table at a upcoming convention to sell anart and that. The problem is iv never sold at a convention and the grand majority of my art is just coloured by me using lineart provided on the Internet (crediting the original artist of course when I do post it). How is selling this type of art see by the community is it frown upon or is it seen alright

If you sell it you’re a shitty person

I mean, if you do a shitty enough job I'm sure there would be no legal reprisals, since you'd have to be pretty fucked to sue a retard trying to sell coloring book pages. Just make sure you don't eat too many crayons or you may get a stomach ache.

How old are you? Ten? This kind of shit is not art, geez.

Coloring in other people's lineart is something you do to chill out and relax by yourself. It's not something you sell, even if you're giving credit to the artist. Don't sell this. If you're hellbent on splitting a table, see if your artist friend is okay with providing you with lineart to color in. Then you are creating it together like an art studio would. But if you don't actually have anything you make yourself, let them have the whole table and just help them by grabbing them food/covering for bathroom breaks and such.

At first I was going to direct you to go to the artist alley thread, but uh...nevermind

Uhh I really hope you're kidding
That's not allowed in any artist alleys, the art needs to be yours unless the artist gives you clear direct permission to sell it.
If you're being serious, your best bet is to color the art of the person you're tabling with and go 50/50 on the profit, otherwise you best get practicing at drawing and hope for the best.
You can also make and sell charms and plushies if drawing doesn't work out.

Honestly if you color your friends lineart and go splits that’s totally fair
