I know that some people here are looking for the My Little CA set and I think I'm ready to let one of mine go. Milky Swan is stunning but when I put it on, I looked SUPER awkward in it. I've not been on /cgl/ for at least two years. I've been completely inactive lolita-wise for over a year.

So today on mercari my dream dress appeared in my second desired colourway. It's not too expensive (by lolita standards)since it's an old dress nobody wants...but i don't know if i want it anymore. One year ago i moved to japan and now i'm a public school english teacher, an unsalaried winter break is coming so i don't think i should spend 11,000yens on a dress right now. the two bigger deals are: my dream dress is a fully shirred OP, and since coming to japan i've lost some weight, i can fit into things other than fully shirred OPs now, so a lot of dresses i could never have dreamt of wearing are now possible. Plus closet child is about an hour away...and when things go on sale i see dresses going below 10,000yen.

Do i still want my dream dress?

I've waited 6 years to see it appear anywhere at all. But now i don't know. Plus i've semi-retired from lolita, since i've found other hobbies and things i'd rather spend time and money on.

Mercari and Fril are extremely strict on who they allow to buy from them - SS are not allowed and girls will cancel transactions if they figure it out. I think Japonica right now is the only SS that can manage to buy from Mercari and Fril.

I also use mostly FromJapan, and while Japonica's website isn't the best, they're always very friendly in emails even if their english isn't the best. Emails are also how you get updates on how your orders are going. Fees are slightly high, but often you can get free shipped items on Mercari and Fril and, again, they're the only one who can buy from them.

I don't feel like that's true at all, I've heard from many people that they buy a lot of stuff from Fril and Mercari through Chibi Tenshi.
I use JSS - japanshoppingservice.jp First order in April and since August have been ordering through them nearly every month. Sure, sometimes they have to comment on an item first and wait for the seller's response before they buy (some sellers require that), but so far I haven't had a single cancellation or any other issues. One time there was even a bit of a dispute between JSS and another buyer, and the seller chose JSS because they'd commented first, so even then I got my item in the end.
I highly recommend JSS, they're easy to use and very responsive, if there are no commenting requirements they can buy stuff within an hour after order placement.

Their staff doesn't speak english very well and their maisl are always automated. They take very long to reply, the often miss out on items or forget to bid and take forever to invoice for shipping.

Once I wanted to bid on a very cheap jewelry set for 25 bucks on mbok containing the Honey Cake necklace. I mailed them two days in advance and they still forgot to big because of "a rush of orders". It ended up selling for the opening bid to a single buyer.

They had this problem for a long time when I used them but this made me quit them for good. Also, I often hear they still have problems, because of too many orders. Every once in a while someone on facebook or the lolita general complains about Japonica and I'm like "ok, they still don't have their shit together." And I stopped using them in January this year.

Hey, Anon who wanted the measurements for the baby Isabel OP are you still around? Bust is about 34cm flat across the bust, 45cm flat across the bottom of the armholes, about 36cm waist, and 86cm long.

Measuring the bust is hard because there's not much definition in that area like darts or princess seams. Also beware the shoulders, they're somewhat narrow. Hopefully this helps, sorry it took so long.
