Would rather just get the message back however many weeks/months later and an explanation instead of just never knowing what happened or thinking you did something wrong when you didn't. Worst case scenario is they don't reply to you or say they'd rather not talk again and you're back in the same position you would've been had you continued ghosting.

I've been to a local one a few times but I feel so out of place as an old bearded dude who is too self conscious to show I'm into all the cutesy stuff. I might go there again the coming summer though if I can find someone to go with.

I usually read more manga than I watch anime but the latest few have been 3-gatsu no lion, Inuyashiki, Amaama to Inazuma, Mahoutsuke no Yome, Yakumo-san wa Edzuke ga Shitai.

Other than that I read some Korean webtoons on line and some Chinese web novels.

Wellllll for a first, you can apply for interac and altia too. You can also apply for other teaching jobs like aeon or gaba, then once u get a visa you can quit and apply for jobs in a city that you like, but this isn't very nice.

I was accepted to replace someone that left suddenly in the middle of his contract, and after that contract ended, i went to osaka to look for jobs, since i had a visa almost everyone was interested in having me on board.

Teaching in public schools: good pay in the middle of bumfuck no where countryside. Cos nobody wants to live there. Generally crap pay in the big cities but you get a lot of free time and you can do private teaching/translation/misc whatever work on the side. Hiring is done in seasons and nowww should be about the time to apply for them

Eikaiwa: good pay and you get to wake up late but also finish late, never did this so idk deets

You don't even need to have super good english, lol my co-workers have crap grammar (they're nice people though) sometimes irdk wtf they're saying. This is just my personal experience. The people hiring you can't fully differentiate between 'comprehensible english' and 'perfect excellent english' anyway.

I mostly like just walking around AA and dealers rooms! I love looking at peoples’ cos and getting pictures of/with them. I also like panels and parties and stuff, but haven’t really been with a ton of groups to cons, and the ones I have didn’t like either lol

Usually Fanime and local cons/meet ups, although rarely because I don’t know anyone and I’m not outgoing enough to show up alone somewhere.
