Moving into a house with my husband at the end of the month and I'm finally get my own room for sewing! I would like to make this my computer room as well so I'm wondering if anyone has any pics of maybe youtubers or streamers rooms? Not sure if there are much pics out there of computer/sewing hybrid rooms but those would be helpful if they exist too!

I love this idea, you could get baskets that fit into the room divider, or a larger piece of wood and you'll be able to use it as a desk without having all your crafting supplies showing while livestreaming

I have all my Danganronpa figures set up similarily to a class trial but I feel it's still pretty cluttered. Better than just lining them up like regular figures but I wish I had some shelving or stands that added different levels.

If you have things of various sizes to be stored I think shelves like these might be a good idea. You can lay bigger items on top while having smaller figures inside the shelves

I collect figurines, but I also don't like seeing shit around. I've been thinking of getting a wardrobe with shelves in it so I can put them in there and open it when I have the mood to see them. I'm just a poorfag so it's been difficult trying to find something affordable that I have in mind.

Honestly that kind of thing I usually see people opting for the Ikea besta or pax sets. They might be a bit pricy to start but at least you get options on how you want to mix and match with the doors and Windows

I agree - the 'cheer's one doesn't suit the room theme, and the font and styling of the 'witch' one seems a bit cheap, especially when compared to many of the much classier ornaments around it. The gravestone isn't exactly a sign, but it's still too Halloween-kitsch for the rest of the styling. The sand-timer, crystals, vintage fantasy/witch costume photograph, and ornate frames are rather nice though, and the floating shelves are neat.

Howl's room always made me think of my Grandmother's basement. its pretty but seeing something like that in person is .. interesting. She's a hoarder but only hoards fine art... and vitamins..

I would approach from the idea of a generally cutesy-cute aesthetic, choose 1-2 pastels as your main focus and maybe white or cream as your neutral tone. I like the idea of a room that looks generally cute from a distance but as soon as you look closer you can see the themes. Since menhera has mainly been a clothing style you may need to look at the gurokawa, pastel goth and other related styles for inspiration. I also wonder about using some of the menhera-chan imagery or characters

That's what I'm going for. Pastel vomit from afar, spooky up close. Unfortunately I was trad goth for years before beginning to transition into liking pastel colors. So all my furniture is black haha. Gonna change the hardware on the dressers/vanity though and maybe do some stripes in washi tape.

Get a bunch of frames and paint them in nice pastel purples, put some cute art in them or just use the frame part and stick on stencils on your wall. Gray is a nice neutral color so I think it would look pretty nice.

I've got ADHD, so sometimes I simply do not have the motivation or energy for major re-organization, or a full on konmari purge, so I've started using what I call the tote bag method. I grab about 4-5 tote bags, and go around my room shoving clutter into the tote bags (carefully putting fragile things on top of everything else).

Once this is done, I line the bags outside my room and wait a few days. If I find there are things I need to dig out of the bags more than once, they stay in my room. At the end of a week, I take one bag and go through it, deciding what looks good in terms of decor, what I need practically over time, and what I just don't care about or use. I find I get rid of so much more useless stuff this way. If I find I'm undecided about a thing, I chuck it in one of the other totes and try to make a decision later.

It usually takes me a day or two to work through a tote. Then, I move on the next one. If I don't get around to it for a while, it's okay, because all the clutter is at the very least, out of the way, in easy-to-search bags.

I find I'm a lot less stressed about clutter this way, and more likely to actually sort through my shit. I can also clean my room more often.

I've been getting myself into the whole room renovation thing because I spend most of my time up there but it was depressing to look at.I also have those days where I just cannot motivate myself to get out of bed so I wait for my other half to have days off and plan it with him so he'll help and motivate me if I start to slip, get overwhelmed or try to take on too much. I usually try to do everything in one day so we decided to do one area of the room at a time, starting with under the bed, some drawers which just held clutter and craft stuff and the wardrobe.
He's very much about getting shit done, and on a good day so can I, but he's like this 24/7.

So far we've gutted my wardrobe and put some drawers in for our things because it was just a rail and a lot of dead space below, and during that process we went through clothes that may not fit, that I just dont like anymore to make way for new ones. We even got my fabric stash and folded it down into one of those bags that pillows come in and that worked out much better than a plastic crate on the top portion of the wardrobe (its built into the wall).

I still have a lot to do like change the desk because I've still got one that belonged to my brother in the 90's and its just too small for me and is incredibly dated, so I might do it up for my niece because she just started school. I also have a bookshelf which got scratched up by my other brother so I'm going to give that a make over.

The only main issue I'm having is patches of black mold on my ceiling. It was perfectly fine until my dad put insulation foam (the yellow fiberglass kind) into the attic and then I started to develop patches. He sends me in with this bleach spray designed for showers but it only gets rid of the symptom temporarily rather than solve the issue - any advice?

I wish I'd taken some 'before' shots so I could show you guys my progress but I'll be sure to show you the finished product and progress on the mini projects like the bookshelf.

Dude I'm trying. It's not like I'm a neet (not that I haven't been before, yikes those days were miserable) like I am going to school and working. It just makes more financial sense at the moment. If I could stay in school full time and work enough hours to get my own place, I would. But that's just not an option at the moment.
