I like the new hotel but it sucks there is absolutely NO PARKING. Everything is meter parking and parking garages. Back in the day we parked in the Wendy's parking lot.

But the bigger hotel is nicer

So unfortunately this con thinks it's a good idea to have two game rooms. One for video game consoles, candy cabs, and fighters, the other for rhythm games which I run. I can't speak for the other room but if they are bringing candy cabs it makes sense to have Samurai Showdown for sure.

I've been to NDK since 09 and I've tried to go to panels however they kept getting capped out so I could barely go to them in the old place. And now, none of the panels interests me, even the J-fashion makeover thing. It's either recycled, weeaboo garbage or tumblr like subjects in anime/manga/whatever

Nope, NDK fucked over Baby last minute and it was a disappointment. The tea party had coloring pages and Prizes were bows from the dollar store. None of the comm went to it, maybe 1 or 2 and the rest were weeaboo lolitas.

Yea I don't really go for the panels except for the AMV contest and a couple photoshoots. The real fun for me is picking a character or a lolita genre and going photo hunting and buying Japanese junk food and hanging out in the game room

Nayrt, but some of the comm members teamed up with AP USA to plan panels, a fashion show, and a tea party since AP had attended 5 years in a row previously. Con left them waiting until a month or two before it happened to say they weren't going to do any of it, and didn't have the budget for a tea party. Girl from the comm plans a rebel tea party at the brown palace. NDK finds out, gets butt hurt that she didn't try to collab with them even though she did. NDK threatens to sue, scrambles together to invite Baby SF since AP was out of the question now. Con manages to get Baby as guest a week before the con and throw together a half-assed tea party the same day as the Rebel one but starting a couple hours early so comm members could attend both. They sent out a not very apologetic apology to the comm and AP, but obviously no one bought it.

NDK mistreated the local comm, so they had a tea party outside the comm which was amazing! The gal who arranged for baby to come ruined the relationship the con had with AP and Baby.. for now at least. Hopefully they make amends in the future.

There is a Japanese arcade in Denver, its called round one. Huge arcade attached to a mall. Rows and rows of UFO catchers and other games. Way more than 12. Crossbeats rev, wonga midnight, sound voltex, initial D and way moree! You guys should check it out! They also have purikura machines!

So, NDK was very "meh" for me and I think part of that was the incredibly steep 35 dollar a day tag for the con. I feel lik though they've improved, the guest and vendor quality was seriously lacking and the utilization of space was...odd. Not only that, but zero fashion programming and a lot of regurgitate web panels which was a bit sad.
