Wig is out of place - looks like cosplay, not Ouji. I personally have a thing about hipster glasses in Lolita/Ouji so I don't like his glasses. Lipgloss doesn't go with the look. Shirt looks like the sleeves are way too short and it's a regular shirt with lace tacked to the cuffs. Shorts and bracers look more like age-play/sissy 'pajamas' than Ouji. Stripy socks on him just look silly. At least the shoes are OK.

It's not technically an ita staple, you can coord it cute for sure, I have the full set in black. I've noticed it's mostly fat itas wear it is because they for some reason think that a back-shirring dress will accommodate 120cm bust. It's kind of sad. As much as stripy socks are a 'no' - I can actually see this outfit being cute if the kitty stuff was left off - and with different shoes. And at least the kitty stuff matches the outfit - it's terribly ita for Lolita, but as cat-themed fancy dress it's OK. I have a theory - with this 'type' of ita coming to Lolita from an anime/manga perspective, rather than from a J-fashion (or Goth) perspective; this is probably trying to emulate the cute girls in art, rather than cute girls from reality - and that's where stripy stockings and kitty ears seem to most frequently turn up.

AP's measurements may say 110, but if your bust was that then this jsk would be at its limits. I think shirring is a detail that appears most often in sweet because its the style that can incorporate it best. Classic most often features cuts that favor clean lines and echo historical clothing. Gothic also leans on historical clothing as well as sharp, elegant details. Shirring doesn't fit those styles as well.

Anon there are VM pieces that fit 120 CM bust. To my knowledge, Moitié has several fully shirried pieces! I feel like they don't do full shirring for two reasons:
1. Design: Shirring is harder to incorporate in the gothic style. Very. Hard. I'm honestly not sure why. I think it's because, unless it's nun-like, gothic dresses just tend to be more fitted. Perhaps because of goth trends like corsets.
I really don't see the problem with classic though. I've seen many, many dresses from the Victorian and Rococo eras that have shirring, or at least panels of it! Of course, these dresses were tailored to fit even the fattest and skinniest women and still be flattering.
2. Prejudice
Let's face it. Brands are worried about fatty-chans making their stuff look bad. Ah, this reminds me of the first time I made a 'lolita' skirt. Hopefully she keeps at it and someday soon she can look at this picture with fond memories. It's not horrible for an early handmade piece. If this girl is reading this; next project stick with a solid color, it's easier to work with and you'll avoid having a printed fabric look kind of silly. Use your waist measurements and multiply it by 3, that'll give you the proper amount of gathering and poof factor for the skirt. I think one of the main issues people have with dreads is not understanding that
For one you have wash your hair (helps locking proces)
Two, you have to let your hair dry completely between washes
Three, don't put gum and other crap in your hair
Four, use shampoo and products that moisturize but, don't leave residue.
Five, keep it neat ( this does not mean you have to go to salon and pay. You can style it at home.
Six, they are time consuming and expensive (I have dreads , my hair is roughly shoulder length. To retwist on my own it takes two and a half hours . To get waves or curls I need to put in rods overnight or braid it. At the salon for interlocking and curls for my length it is $150. When your hair gets longer you pay more).
If people honestly followed the above stuff they would not have gross dreads.

I personally think the fabric is a bit loud, but that's jut me. If this was turned into a regular waisted skirt, cut a couple of inches shorter, and trimmed with some NICE light pink lace, and maybe scalloped to follow the variations in the positions of the ice-creams in the print, it could be turned into a better skirt. I think if this girl was sent over to Pintucks & Lace or one of the other Lolita sewing groups, she could learn to sew something better than this.

I could tell she doesn't take care of them. My former bf, still one of my close friends, had very long dreads that he had been growing since he was a child. He was very proud of them and didn't even care about non-black people having them, he just wanted people to educate themselves so that he can't get hired because his "dreads are a health risk" even though he keeps them pulled back (he's a chef) and keeps them impeccably clean and neat.
