people forget that when doing non-gothic ero you are generally supposed to fashion the coord after a Victorian woman in a state of undress. undergarments are key.
this is a beautiful wip and I'd like to see her retry this with some improvements.

I found this one online. I think it's simple but not bad. Second one is from F+F, I think it's looking nice (I think the only nice qi one the put out). I think the fabric is nice. Could perhaps used different legwear but that's all I dislike about it.

It's ero lolita because it combines a latex (which is often seen as erotic/fetish stuff) with the lolita silhouette and follows all lolita rules. Latex doesn't make everything just fetish clothes, and this dress was made as a latex lolita dress. In fact I'm failing to see gothic influences, latex corsets are originally fetish wear for example, not gothic...

Cuteness however, can in fact sometimes improve a coord, because you see the entire picture, not just the clothes, and if it's an okay coord and a really ugly chick, it really brings it down a level

While it is an interesting use of colour, the motifs and the sleeves align more to Japanese culture but the outfit design is that of the Hanfu from Chinese culture, with the second half of the piece starting above the chest. It's not an actual lolita silhouette and doesn't follow the rules. Latex is literally fetish clothes, and is commonly used in a substyle of gothic fashion that is heavily fetish inspired. If you can't see how the tacky red and black colorscheme, flower crown, cheap necklace, corset and makeup make this more gothic than lolita then you are blind. Just because she wore it to an event doesn't make it lolita. Hypothetically, you could use latex in a lolita coord, I don't know why you would want to unless you're a fetishist though as it's not a material that suits the aesthetic at all, but this is not the way to do it. It looks like an etsy sissy dress.

I'm starting to wonder if country is due for a re-imagining. I live out in the country, very literally (on a farm), and I never wear Lolita like the girls in Country Lolita do. Maybe it's suppose to be more in-line with the "ideal" idea of being in the country, but I find my coords are based around what I can risk exposing to dust, what can survive heavy winds and what can be washed if it rains or there is mud.Never really thought of wearing a white apron, but now that I think of it I have pictures of my great grandmother wearing a dark color one you can't easily see stains on.

I'm from the country as well. I always assumed it was inspired by wealthy people that went and had picnics out at their summer homes or on plantations. Ex: Scarlett O'hara inspired. Or just Rural cutesy motifs like Dorothy or a farm kitchen. I've seen patterns my grandma would have used for her matching curtains, dish towels, and oven mitts. She was especially fond of apples but you'd also see roosters, strawberries, and gingham.

The similarities between Pastoral and the Surface Spell dress are huge compared to my other dirndls.
