I have so many brown chocolate dresses and cream always looks so beautiful with them, but the white one is so overbearingly sugar sweet that even though I like the design, its not in my preferred color pallet.

The coat's long enough that your essentially won't be able to see the dress underneath, so basically you're stuck trying to put together accessories that look good on two different dresses at once every time you try and wear the coat. You'll be stuck coording with mostly pink as too much of either brown or cream will throw one or the other coord out of balance. Plus, all chocolate-themed bags, legwear and berets will look odd once you have the coat on. I could stand that for all of one coord, and then I'd sell the coat off out of boredom.

If you really like the look of cream on brown, get a short coat, otherwise there's not much point to it.

Some replicas are better than others so it can be a bit difficult to tell them apart right away but generally speaking, unless the piece is very visibly awfully constructed like the tattered rags upthread, it's a matter of small details: Crooked/uneven bows, ungathered/ugly/different lace, generic buttons instead of branded ones, etc.
Another easy way to tell replicas from the real deal is when they're worn, you'll notice they often have wonky seams, construction, and fit, especially in pieces that are meant to be custom sized.

Nobody is going to see this chocolate print under the coat, except for the two minutes you spend putting the coat on/taking it off.

The coat will cover the entire dress.

So at any given time people can only see either the pink chocolate chess OR the cream ponies coat. Not both at the same time.

The catch? You have to make sure your accessories match both the chocolate dress and the ponies coat, because although people will only see you in one of them at a time, you're going to have to take the coat off at some point.

It's not 'embossed', so to speak...the original dress is a jacquard weave that gives the fabric that textured look.
The replica actually also uses jacquard fabric, but I think the mocha colorway on the right of >>9404563 both isn't photographing well and is a lower quality fabric than the original.

Up close, the print doesn't seem that bad however as you can tell here >>9405093 the replica fabric is overall thinner and much more prone to wrinkling. Also, the front buttons are uneven and closer together.
