Last one is kill.

>What is Kemono?
Generally speaking, the japanese word for "beast" but in the case of cosplay it refers to anthro or mascot costumes influenced by kawaii culture and fashion.

>What is this thread's content?
Mainly exchanging about the creation, tutorials, resources and similar.

>> No.9329978

Last one didn't 404, it was deleted. I don't think the janitors like these threads

>> No.9330271

>>9330265
That was because of all the shitposting (even normal jfash threads get deleted for that when it happens), not because of the topic itself.

>> No.9330306

Okay, so this means no fucking western cartoony furry suits. I'm okay with that.

>> No.9330394

>>9330306
I'm ok with both styles, western stuff really needs to lean more on the cartoony side more though because kemono def has the "realistic" cute side down pat.

Then there's the realistic looking suits which are in a class of their own and are pretty cool.

>>9330265
I dunno, janitors were deleting shitposts/drama so I think they're more or less okay with it. Then again we had a couple images go missing so maybe there's a clash of opinions happening with multiple janitors..

Satin, the whole suit is pretty much a wearable duvet.

>> No.9330749

I dislike how satin makes those folds and shiny surface.
I do mine with fleece, easier to blend the seams and keep the mascotte feel, unfortunately its really poor at managing warmth and sweating

I'm actually debating if I am going to make mega lucario, just because this fur is so perfect.
I bought this fur http://www.stoffen-online.nl/bont-langhaar-toffee.html

Yep, just a layer of felt scales, fleece and a t-shirt. Breathes fantastically, but absolutely isn't a makeshift winter coat like most peoples costumes here.

And the scales, every single one cut out by hand. I don't want to know how long it took to cut them out, but there's no other way to get that look without it looking like / literally having them painted on.

Car window tint, it's what most japanese makers use under printed eyes.

Not sure if he just keeps it stored somewhere else but he only has 4 at his place. Also, he never throws old suits away but sells them, just like how he did with that one giant pink robo cat that he had for a short time.

Rule three is in regaurds to furry porn and yiffing being pushed to /b/.

The construction of mascot suits and kigurumi are costumes. And belong on cgl.
Learn the difference.

Not to mention different displays that need mascot heads and require fur work.
So get back on subject. Keep the discussion con related and post links/ tutorials for the OP when you can.

Where are the best resources or tutorials for making a fursuit for the first time?

I'm specifically interested in the Japanese style. I'm inspired by this person mostly. I specifically like the eyes and soft features of Japanese fursuits.

Youtube is a good source too.

K-Line is switching to printed perforated aluminium eyes now too, probably because you have more space for the vision. The downside is that the outer pvc layer gets foggy even sooner due to the holes, that kind of eyes usually only makes sense when there is no outer layer
