It's only out of dislike of change that the rules of half the boards have rules which give Japanese stuff special treatment.

Furbuy has lots of scrap for sale. Foam and fur. And other stuff.
My first test head was made with an unused foam pad for a bed and fur re-used from kids animal costumes. Shit quality materials, good experience gained.

I've been itching to make my own fursuit(or atleast partial) for ages, but I've been busy with some other projects and cosplays lately.

I really love the more realistic/fantasy inspired ones too. Like the kind one could wear to a renaissance faire, if that makes sense. I have a few to post but it'd be great to see other examples.

If you end up getting a bunch of scrap fabric that isn't big enough to do a full section of the head, you could do giant stitch marks [think sally from nightmare before Christmas] to work with the scraps rather than try to hide them

You need to put the keyboard down. A lot of kemono information is useful for cosplayers that make mascot suits and these suits are basically people cosplaying their OCs. I'm a cosplayer, but not a furry, and I have mad respect for the time, effort and cost that go into these suits.

Compared to the other suits from that company the proportions and fit look pretty off. Like, tiny head and baggy fur.

The janitors don't have an issue with the thread, probably given that everybody only seems to be interested in discussing the actual costume and construction parts of fursuits, which is fine. I notice they even did us the courtesy of deleting flame posts from the last couple which was appreciated. And I have actually seen threads about OC cosplay before, since you mention it.
Also, you're talking like the people here haven't likely been on /cgl/ prior to these threads when in reality I (and probably others too) have used the board for years.

No one is going to start dumping fetish stuff and as far as I'm concerned the less savory portions of the fandom can stay on /trash/. These threads have been almost entirely constructive thus far and if they die from lack of activity then they die. Whatever. Point is there's a valid interest in the costume construction side of it and the mods seem to be ok with it.

The gloves are indeed just printed/painted (more likely painted) with some plastic claws on them, but I also don't remember which kind. Fursuit supply sellers probably have certain kinds of bird talons in their claw selections, and it's a matter of finding the set that looks aesthetically/proportionally nice.
