Post some of the worst Worbla cosplay jobs you've ever seen. What makes a successful warble armor and what dooms most people. Are you like me, in that a horrible Worbla armor hurts you more than a horrible craft foam armor because you know how much money these poor fools wasted on their Worbla alone?

I get that they used warble to achieve this specific shape for the dress, but I just feel like its such a waste of material an it doesn't look that great either.

I'm working with worbla for the first time. Can you guys tell me what differentiates a good worbla costume as opposed to a bad one? Obviously I can see the problems with some of the pictures posted but I want to know what are some of the common signs that show the difference between a good or decent job versus a bad/amateur one.

for one, worbla should be very smooth as a final produce. it should be sanded and filled a lot to get that effect, but also shouldn't have wiggles in it like >>9310540.

One tip is that besides very small pieces, like fingers for gauntlets, worbla needs to be stabilized by something, whether it's double layered with itself or folded over craft foam. This is a big part of avoiding wiggles like >>9310626 said. What exactly are you making?

I'm making pic related. I've been slowly working on it trying to avoid disasters like some of the ones posted in this thread. I'm covering the pieces in auto vinyl to give it a metallic look but I'm worried it's going to end up looking too plain when it's finished because of it. This. There's no point in wasting your money on worbla if you're going to cover it with vinyl anyway, EVA foam + vinyl has been working forever with projects like this.

People seem to be way too quick to pour money on worbla without considering if it's the suitable material. It's not some kind of a miracle sheet that will enable you to do anything you want. It's not very durable, it requires backing to make armors and it needs to have a finish to look good.
