I didn't knew about that new arc at all and just looked at it. Maybe it's me getting old, I didn't really like it. Storytelling is mediocre at best and I liked the clunkier designs of the old wands better. Costume design is still neat though.

I re-read the original manga before jumping on the new one so I could recognize returning characters I've forgotten and tbf - the storytelling has always been pretty lacking and clumsy. Clamp is pretty hit or miss on that part.

Gulls you just go for it! Prepare a good cosplay, put your sewing skills into work. Your costume will be much better than those you made as a teen, you will have lots of fun. Why bother about your age.
I'm in my twenties too and I don't give a damn, just make my cosplays nice and wear them. Please don't let anybody tell you there is an age limit to cosplaying!

It's dumb but my main pet peeve is their art in the new one. They ink digitally instead of traditionally now, and the linework just takes away some of the charm. It's very static compared to the original manga.
