Has anyone tried putting Menhera with another fashion? Not like, lolita or anything, but I was thinking of doing a Menhera-Gyaru sort of coord, sort of a touch on Histrionic 'I didn't get enough love as a child, so now I'm like this' sort of thing, with all the ero-related menhera prints and whatnot, I feel like it could work, but I dunno.

To be honest, I think to work it'll need to be a gyaru outfit with a yamikawaii influence rather than menhera, and I don't think you can make something easily recognisable as gyaru and menhera. The issue is gyaru is like...sexy with very recognisable make up and hair, menhera is cute and ill and the makeup is part of that too so you'd have to choose between makeup styles and even the overall feel of the outfit

Everyone recommends steering clear from Made By Cooper as they are just a middleman (like an SS), that makes a profit and sends the designs out to China. Even though they dont admit ever that they themselves dont make the pins.

She's uses dye sublimation to produce many products. The technique has it's downsides. It cannot be exposed to dryer sheets or fabric softener. The majority of strong washer detergents will damage the dye. It is preferably washed in cold water inside out and hung on a line to dry.

Also, sublimation dye is prone to blurs, smudges, and 'gapping' during production. There very well could have been a blur or smudge that somebody did not notice until after washing.

Products printed with such a technique need very special care.

>> No.9194761

And I want to say I'm not ragging on her mentioning that. I've considered buying her alien sweater and the pill bottle sweater (in the black colorway.)

I just have bought shirts in the past that used that technique. No two will ever print the same, care of the garment is more difficult, and it is often used for galaxy or psychedelic prints because of the nature of the process. (Bleeds, creases, smears, fading, and 'gapping'.)

I just don't know about paying 55$.

The pictures are not the prettiest, but if it helps: here's CC's socks in comparison to some Disney socks from Hot Topic. The socks are both the same length. CC's socks have considerable width, the absence of a tight band, and are a fairly thick stocking material. (Very stretchy, very opaque.)

I've never bought her tights. I think she offers m/l sizes though.

I tried making this pretty in Paint. The KM t-shirts will be printed on unisex t-shirts in pink. The CC syringe and sweatshirt will be red/black.

I'm thinking of getting a grey petticoat skirt that hits right above the knees for the sweatshirt and sock-it-to-me socks.(The socks are only knee high.)

I'm not the haul anon, but, in my case it's because I pay 20€ in tax from packages in which the total (item + shipping) is over 22€. It only goes up from there. So, ordering a t-shirt using a shopping service:

At least ordering from a western store cuts a little bit of the total off

Because most brands only sell in one size.
I bought a sweater from Candye Syrup a while ago with a local shipping service, the sweater was $70, a bit of service fee, $27 shipping and in the end I had to pay something $40 for custom's handling fee and tax. The store Harajuku Hearts is located in the U.S. states. I suppose they import direct from selected brands. If an item isn't in stock or featured, but is featured on the overseas site, and you are willing to be patient, they will special order the product if it is in stock.

The armwarmers would go well with the tutu and cyclops kitty top. After all, every cat born with cyclopia becomes a cosmic space kitty shortly after birth.

I only have a couple armwarmers and I wear them with certain outfits. I have pair one with the moon and pine trees and a knitted skeleton pair that is super warm. It's cold where I live, very cold in winter. So cold.

Woah, hold on anons... stop bickering. At 5'7", I could easily see why there is trouble with sizing and Japanese products.

I say it is hit or miss. I usually try to order skirts with elastic or specifically oversized fit shirts because my hips are 35 inches. I'm 5'2" and 115. I've only once had an issue with a skirt being too small despite purchasing 'L'.

I pretty certain the arm warmers are being modeled on a man. They will likely fit.

You had issues because(assuming you are not East Asian) you have curves to you, so while your waist might be smaller than the average JP girl your hips are larger. That means instead of going for a L(which would be about the size a JP girl at your weight would need) you need to go for XL

I can't think of any brands, only shops that are useful.

To find knee and thigh highs, the best places I know of is Sock Dreams (free U.S. shipping with tracking!) and Oddsox (the latter only has a couple knee high socks).

Outside KM, CC, and KG on Etsy, there is a seller PandyApparel who sells really nice and cheap printed stockings. FairyKeiHime has a pastel hoodie. There's also KoiNiButaStore who has nice and cheap shirts with unique designs that remind me a lot of the Japanese brand idol.

I've been thinking of ordering from KoiNiButa but she's located in Mexico.

There's also Dollskill and Syndromestore. However, I recommend more looking through these sites for ideas and pictures. I've found most the items that appealed to me much cheaper through direct distributors on Amazon or other sites. These two sites are resellers. I just bought a sweater on Amazon for 19 with free shipping that was listed on Syndromestore for 32 dollars. The sweaters are identical.

CdJapan and Otakumode both order from Listen Flavor and make U.S. purchases a breeze. It is useful to check for an item on either site before seeking a shipping service.

That's my take if it helps.

I thought of another couple brands. Killstar usually has prints I find way too excessive, but occasionally you can find cute graphic designs from Killstar. They offer their products in the U.S. and the U.K.

I don't particularly like Kreepsville 666, but they tend to be popular for their accessories. They occasionally have a good graphic design or two. They are not terribly pricey and better than what you would find at the Halloween store. They are a U.S. brand.

From the tenso site for international customers? cdjapan charges in Japanese yen. I use my roommate's SECU card for online purchases and just pay them back. The card has its perks including that it will accept foreign currency and convert it with partnering websites like cdjapan.

Your bank may not offer conversion, but it's worthwhile to check with your bank if you have identity theft protection. Some accounts will not allow foreign currency exchanges without prior permission if you have such protection.

Check to see if your bank will allow billing in foreign currency.

If that is her in the astrology thread that I'm reading now, she is the embodiment of an annoying shitposter. She refuses to take any advice the guy is trying to give her and just uses her husband as an excuse for her stubborness when in reality, she just doesn't want to do things because "muh relationship" and I guess doesn't know how to be her own person even though she could be but instead got married to some old guy?

I don't know. I don't like her as a person if that's who she really is. To me that thread kind of reeks of just baiting to get replies. Hence the "stubborn" feeling her posts give off. She is just arguing to keep getting the replies. That's the kind of poster she is, on or off topic. I wouldn't be surprised if before her "trolling" started that she would just go into like, a lolita gen and argue nonstop about petticoats with the same kind of stubborn "I'm going to keep replying even though this debate should've ended five posts ago".
She's just not good at posting and is in for the replies as always.

I don't think she's actually arguing with anyone in the thread, if it is her. Usually her "arguing" is nothing more than picking from one of the following:

1. calling someone fat
2. calling someone a cunt
3. calling someone dumb
4. telling people to kill themselves

Let's say this IS her, then she seems to genuinely be expressing distress. It reads more of someone who has been backed into a corner and is trying to ask for advice even though they are scared to act on said advice.

I mean, she's really annoying and never knows when to stop but if the reason she's those things is she feels trapped because she doesn't want to upset someone she loves I don't think she's Satan like everyone is painting her to be.

I think she's honestly mentally ill, and that's why she comes into these threads and rages about us making a "fetish" of mental illness. She knows she is sick, sees others potentially portraying something she hates about herself as "glamorous", and flips.

She has said she went from being with an abusive mother straight into being married. Maybe while she does actually love her husband, she didn't have room to heal on her own from the abuse and instead got a temporary bandaid from her husband? Now that it's wearing off she's realizing she isn't happy and it's eating at her.

Just a theory.

Oh. CdJapan offers an English site and USD rates in a similar fashion. My knowledge is most Japanese banks don't process foreign cards, but some Japanese banks will. CdJapan works through a bank that will accept foreign cards.

Most American banks except for prepaid cards and small local branches have no problem dealing with international banks and currencies. (Well-Fargo, BoA, BB&T, and so forth.)

But the transaction is still requested in yen. Many people's accounts are setup to automatically deny foreign transactions for protection and tenso won't be able to get the approval. Sometimes you have to go to your bank and say, 'Hey, approve this transaction from tenso (or whatever site you are buying from)' or ask them to remove such protection entirely.

That could be the issue. You can likely just talk to your bank and get your card set to approve a transaction from a foreign bank.

Sometimes there are sketchy people in abandoned buildings, and watch out for stuff like asbestos and unsteady floors and stairs depending on how old the building is and how long it's been abandoned for (my friend broke his leg a few months ago when he half fell through the floor/ceiling in an abandoned building).

I like hexagrams, drips, and crosses. I prefer red/black and pink. However, I also love blue and I see blue items here and there but I've never really seen a complete blue outfit.

I also love animals. I know bunnies are popular, but I like to pick up any graphic tees I see with magical cats.

It appears to still be in stock on listen flavor's site. Shipping isn't terribly expensive on small items so long as you can find a shopping service that offers ePacket as a shipping option. My last order with ePacket cost 7$ to ship and includes insurance and tracking.

I ended up getting it from cdjapan for 48 USD. I noticed right after I ordered it the listing moved to out of print.

I used White Rabbit Express which offered the ePacket option. They have slightly higher fees: 4$ fee per shop, 1$ fee per item, and 3% service fee on the cost of all item combined.

They were really fast getting the order completed though. It only took 4 days for them to order, receive the package, and ship out.

I got this shirt off aliexpress a while ago and the shirt itself is like super soft and nice fabric, but the print is weirdly sticky? like, if rest my hand on it for a while the warmth will make the print stick to my hand. I highly doubt it's going to last a round in the wash. Also the nurse's hat has a typo so it says horroa instead of horror in the melty heart on the hat, although i think this is hilarious and endearing.

But they'd tell us horror stories. My last stay, one of the workers who was very kind pulled me aside and warned me with so much honesty, 'After you turn 18, don't come back. Don't go to a hospital, they'll put you in a ward like Cedar and throw away the key. You don't belong there.'

It can allude to mental illness with motifs such as nooses, self mutilation, and psychiatric medicine. It can allude to simple negative feelings such as sadness or loneliness. It can have medical themes related to physical surgery, surgical/hospital items, and related disability. It can allude to horrific subjects such as murder, death, and even rape. The character Menhera-chan is a 'wrist cutting warrior'. In the first couple chapters, a girl almost gets beat to death just because guys think she's cute, drug pushing, and self-mutilation.

I guess you could wear any 'brand' so long as it comes off cute and follows general ideas like the oversized fit and so forth. If something comes in pastel, it might be more recognizable.

This shirt in picture isn't really 'menhera' I guess but it works.

I bought these tennis skirts and had to return them. I still say the skirt was really awesome. They are made with a thick fabric and I liked the thickness of the pleats. It's very well constructed and the color was nice. I had purchased both the black and pink one.

However, despite the reviews, it runs exactly the size it says it does. The (M) 26 inch skirt is exactly 26 inches for example. Anything bigger than about 28-30 takes a month to ship. Did I not mind the wait, I would have just ordered the 34 (4XL) inch skirt.

Thank you so much for the information!! I tried googling it when I first got the shirt, but couldn't find anything relevant. Into the wash it goes!

No problem. I've never had a shirt torn or damaged in a household washing machine. (Please, don't put articles your care about in a public laundromat machine.)

Put delicate shirts inside out near the top of the washer so they cannot get caught in the bottom of the contraption that rotates. Also, start your water then place you detergent where the water is already running. This dilutes the detergent. I always use cold water but that's entirely up to you.

(Also, don't forget lingerie bags exist to wash extremely thin materials in a washing machine. I'm not quite sure where to find them, but a grandmother explained them to me.

It's gravy.

Everyone was talking about sizing earlier and I stated the fact because it is true that the sizing is different and often, but not always, very exact. It's something to be aware of.

It's also hard to find stuff if any of your measurements are past 34 or 36, in that range.

If you can't get a lingerie bag then you can put delicates in an old ratty pillowslip and either knot it shut or use a hair elastic to hold it shut. Older pillowslips obviously preferred because holes, more worn fabric etc allows freer flow of detergent, water and dirt off your delicate item.

I'm mentally ill and I want to feel comfortable in my skin. I don't want to feel like because of that I need to be gloomy and sad all the time, because I'm not. Sometimes I like cute things, being loud, having fun, but this doesn't also mean my feelings of inadequacy and loneliness magically disappear, because even though I hate them they helped shape who I am as a person.
All in all I want to stop having 2 personas - one that is suffering, and one that is cute and sweet - and present the 2 together.

You know that that kind of stuff is a minor part of Menhera? By your logic most alt fashions must be about mental illness too considering the high amount of suicidal imaginary, don't even get me started on hardcore band tees.

it's a minor factor for some people and a major one for others. there's no be all end all. if it's just clothing to you, wear it as just clothing.

I said that they were there and it was stupid to deny them. You were the one who went from me saying "mental illness exists as an aspect of menhera" to "WELL I GUESS MOST ALT FASHIONS ARE MENTALLY ILL BECAUSE MOST ALT FASHIONS HAVE SUICIDE IN THEM"

Please learn to read.

Which you never did.

>> No.9206916

menhera is a fashion that has mental illness motifs

people can wear the fashion because they think it's cute/cool

people can wear the fashion because they want to make a statement

people can wear the fashion because they're coping with their own mental illness

they can be wearing the fashion for all of those reasons

menhera will always involve some kind of mental illness motif, but that doesn't define the reason a person is wearing it

I am pretty sure she is one of those SJW with multiple accounts for making shitposts. I don't have that blog of hers blocked but can't see her post, meaning I must have blocked one of her other blogs because Tumblr seems to block all blogs of a person once you block one.

I've been told the opposite; "You dont want to go to the childrens ward because they are ALL put their involuntarily, at least most of the adults are voluntary," I was 18 and wanted to move wards since I felt out of place.

Its not a bad place. It was like a sleepover camp with therapy on the side for me. *shrugs*

I did earlier. Tomorrow I'll let you know how the new skirt is.

Oh, my cdjapan order is coming in from a USPS office in New York. It apparently cleared customs and will be here in a day or two I'm hoping. Pretty good considering it was shipped out from cdJapan September 29th in the afternoon.

I like the idea of incorporating 'western' (or whatever brand you might consider regional, broadly culturally relevant or whatever) into the fashion. I don't buy into the 'cultural appropriation' crap regarding the fashion however I do see that there may be certain depictions that may be more relevant to Japan; whilst I wouldn't suggest avoiding such motifs, if you are interested in exploring this fashion as a statement of sorts, I think you could add a bit of a regional/localized aspect to it for a more personal touch.

Adding something more culturally specific to your region could also play into the idea of mental health issues being universal, thus perhaps adding weight to the Japanese take on expressing these notions through fashion.

Written out like this it does sound a bit wanky but may be worth considering, it's not like you have to spell everything out with this level of detail when you actually wear the fashion or describe it to other people.

>stupid stereotype that cute looking people can't have problems in life, like how you need to look sick and ugly in order to get your problems taken serious
totally off topic but this was what I wanted my final year of highschool's art folio pretty much to be on, how aesthetics seem to depletes people's connection to a subject and sterilises what would otherwise be concerning imagery/concepts. I never realised but I think that's why I like menhera so much.
