Have you ever considered getting plastic surgery for cosplay?

Not specifically for cosplay, but I would definitely show off a little better in sexier cosplays if I had a lift with implants, and maybe some coolsculpting to get rid of some fat on my belly and inner thighs.

I dislike plastic surgery immensely because it lessens my value as a naturally really pretty girl. It really gets under my skin that something that made me more valuable than most is now being handed out to any uggo who can pass a credit check.

I know I shouldn't get this upset over it but it really pisses me off. #triggered

Nice neckbeard, you dropped your fedora though

Slightly OT but I had to get nasal reconstruction done for medical reasons back in March (yay overgrown septum defect that was causing me to pass out) which due to severity also ended up smoothing out my nose.

Plastic surgery isn't that common. Most ugly people just kind of deal with themselves, usually the people that get plastic surgery (and I mean one or two procedures, not the excessive stuff) are people that hate one little thing but are otherwise at least average.

Besides, there are other people that hate plastic surgery because of the whole "love what God gave you!!!!!!!!" shit. They'll always be there to appreciate natural beauty.

I've been saving up for a boob job for a while now. I've wanted one forever, not just for cosplay, but I think it will help a lot for that. There's just so many more cosplays I can do once I actually have the boobs to pull them off. I'm currently an A cup and I'm going to a full C cup. I think it will just help my measurements out a lot too. I'm not super skinny, (36-28-39) so I feel like having larger boobs will give me more of an actual figure and balance out my thicker legs.

I'm so ready to debut a bunny suit cosplay once I have them!

It won't though because the years you spend with signs of aging (from say age 30+ if you are pretty lucky) outnumber the other years by quite a bit. I think if you want to go up 2 cup sizes then implants are best. No reputable surgeon would offer you a definite 2 sizes up with autologous transfer, most will say you might get 1 cup size, even out asymmetry, and possibly have fuller looking breasts. You need a surprising amount of fat for just one cup size even in someone like me where one cup size is not a hell of a lot of volume, like 400-500mL and I'm pretty sure the risk of stuff like fat necrosis is much higher.
I'm just scared of implants, because even in people whose implants weren't ruptured, simply having a foreign body there was enough to set off weird autoimmune shit, and some of my extended family have bad autoimmune illnesses so I may be at higher risk.

To a certain extent I agree and to a certain extent I don't.

I think that someone who doesn't base their self worth solely off their looks is going to be much better off in the long run.

But at the same time, having looks really helps every aspect of your life. Getting a job is easier, making friends is easier, having the confidence to take risks is easier, etc. It really sets up a world for yourself where you're way more likely to succeed than someone just as smart or capable as you but uglier.

Sure, if you have an absurd amount of intelligence or talent you might can still live a super easy life. But if you're just mediocre, you're gonna have to work a lot harder than the beautiful mediocre person beside you.

But it is common. According to a lot of studies, conventionally pretty people are more forgettable than people with unorthodox features (maybe not necessarily ugly, but certainly not textbook pretty). You'd have to be a really specific type of ugly-pretty/weird-pretty to be uncommon and even then plenty of people would consider you odd looking and unattractive.

Not quite surgery but I got miradry done so I can wear Lolita and otome without wrecking everything with gross BO sweat.
If anyone had any questions, AMA

She probably aspected nature outcome. You know the one in which people only look at and forget about it after a while just like you do with 99% of the advertisements you see. Not the one people make up gossip stories.

Well, if you're a "it's the inside that counts" type of person, by that logic everybody on 4chan is ugly.

This may make you feel better anon. I had braces and the butterfly to widen the roof of my mouth. Its like legal torture dude. And since i have better teeth now i still get a little jealous if someone was born with perfect teeth. So we with braces will always be a little bitter so you can feel better about it cause were still jealous of you.

Probably a breast lift when I get older as most women tend to get them because gravity is a bitch.

US, my first treatment cost $1,950, and if i choose to go in for a second round it will be another $950. It's helped a lot so far but Im definitely going back in for another treatment.

What kind of side effects have you gotten?

Numbness, swelling and redness for the first week of course. The first couple days after it was done I had a huge rash/Hickey down my inner arm. Now it's been about a month and my right arm will go numb when fully extended but its gradually going away too. I did feel really shitty a day after it but only because I hadn't slept and worked myself into a panic because I'm terrified of needles and i had about 30 shots of lidocaine in each armpit. The actual procedure doesn't hurt a bit though, just those awful fucking shots.
TLDR numbness mostly

I have hyperhidrosis and was considering this, but I heard that you just wind up sweating more from other areas where you didn't used to sweat. Like, some people seriously regret doing it because of it... What has your experience been?

>> No.9120671

>>9120620
I haven't noticed anything like that, granted, my main problem was bromhidrosis with just minor hyperhidrosis. Didn't matter what deodorant/antiperspirant I used, how often I bathed, how good my diet was, my armpits would stink really badly and sweat(though not a ridiculous amount like people with really bad hyperhidrosis. I read up on that issue and it doesn't happen to everybody just some really unlucky people so it is a risk, but in my case I didn't care if I was more wet somewhere else as long as I didn't reek like an unbathed, fast food eating stoner neckbeard.
I still do sweat and have an odor but normie deodorant works now and I can go without a deodorant for most of a day before I even start to sweat. Plus now it isn't trapped in my clothes turning the sleeves yellow anymore.

It was quite some time ago but I recognised it as soon as I saw it, the reactions were also very similar, so it worked a treat, I guess(?).

I super hate my profile/jawline and would consider having my neck/jawline fixed up. It's my one feature that makes me feel thoroughly "not me" when I see it in photos. Mostly because I look fine straight-on or from a 3/4 angle, but full profile is unfortunate. It's amazing the aesthetic difference the jaw makes.

Pic related is a much more severe but similar problem to mine. I don't know if there are non-surgery options to tighten up the neck/define the jaw?

you could try looking into ncr therapy, it's mostly for like tmj but from the looks of a lot of before and after stories it reallr realigns your entire face and fixes mouthbreather jaw

>> No.9120946

considered getting a jaw shave for a hot second when i was young and stupid. thank god i only had a minimum wage job back then.

i've been thinking of getting rhinoplasty because my nose is super weird. it's bulbous on the sides but the tip is pointy. i've also been thinking of getting my eyes done because one of my eyelids is noticeably droopier than the other.
i guess neither of these are specifically for cosplay/lolita though.

You could ask about fillers. They are temporary, but I think that's a plus because if you do like it, you know exactly what kind of chin implant you'd get in the future. Chin implant isn't as invasive as jaw realignment.

Did a double eyelid stitching as I prefer the double eyelid look with my overall features. Couldn't be happier with it.

Was thinking of increasing my cup size from AA cup to A cup, but not too sure if I would like the changes enough to go through the surgery.

go to korea, just as cheap and better surgeons.

>> No.9121075

ive considered double eyelid surgery in the past but now I'm pretty self assured my looks don't scare people away and i do find myself not bad looking,

I hope you all find yourselves where I am somedAy no matter how you get to it. It's nice to feel you're pretty without feeling inadequate about a feature.
