Look like Halloween costumes, but yeah, it's $5 so I might consider it if i could flip through it first. Might be good for a laugh and a random tip or two could actually be good.

Adult coloring books are big for some reason now. It seems like this book is intended to throw everything trendy at the wall and see what sticks. Also cosplayers who are making their own stuff are more creatively inclined and would be more likely to enjoy something like that. My guess would be that the coloring pages are drawings of the Simplicity patterns, so you can color them and plan out your cosplay. mite b cool

Simplicity 8160 ("anime schoolgirl uniform") will be out in April 2016 for sizes 6-22 (though the pattern book says 4-22).

I like how Simplicity google translated "female character" to put into the magazine

There were coloring pages for superheroes and Game of Thrones as well.

The pages for DIY things were on par with what you'd normally see in Halloween ideas magazines.

surely the main issue should be whether the actual cuts represented here are decent, fabric quality can be changed and determined by the individual (to a point of course, some patterns don't lend themselves to certain fabrics).

Pls if anons are buying these as bases, add a trim to the dress hem before you bustle it (dresss on the right). A ruffle is the usual, but at least a wide braid or some venise lace. It looks horribly unfinished without a trim like this

How long before Nintendo comes down on this? There is no Nintendo stamp or mention anywhere on the pattern. You can say it's Zelda-inspired and not a specific, trademarked character, but isn't Nintendo kind of tight about who gets to use their property, especially when money is involved?

Skimmed this book yesterday and was underwhelmed. 75% of it is a costume pattern catalog, a few coloring pages, and the tutorials were for specific items. A Harley Quinn hammer made from two hatboxes, a Jack Skellington bow tie pattern/tutorial, a makeup tutorial (forget what this was for), and something about Perler beads to make pixel art. Possibly others but I forget.

There were a few 50% coupons in the back that are good till the end of this year, that would be the part that's really worth it imo.

Also there's a historical 18th century pattern set coming out which looks good for middle/lower class if anyone's into that.
