Did anyone get their hands on a working pair of these? Yummie really screwed the pooch on this one.

why would anyone have gotten these? they're just like a copy of that korean vocaloid's headband thing. plus they look like cheap trash.

why are you asking? Did you miss the kickstarter where hundreds of people bought this crap? You can buy them at Brookstone.

good for them for making it a reality but I heard the quality is shit

My husband got me a red pair for Christmas last year. I got them about 4 days after the shipping date.
They're pretty heavy on your head, and kind of hurt after about an hour of listening desu. Sound quality on head set is pretty okay. Sound quality on exterior speakers of course is pretty shitty. But all in all I'm glad I have a pair, they're cool to look at. I'm sure we'll see them at cons all of the time.

>> No.8773328

A friend was boasting with these at a recent party. The minispeakers gave off a constant low freq beep when they weren't receiving a signal. They drove everyone mad.

>> No.8773329

Saw them at Brookstone at the local mall.
Fortunately they had a pair out for people to try on, no audio coming out from them though.
My impression is that they were cheap, they felt extremely cheap. It also sat on my head awkwardly and I imagine they'd slip off very easily. Overall not really worth it, my guess.

>> No.8773333

Aren't they made in china with chinese parts? Who expected them to be good at all? This is just one of those weeb markers like necomimi, but these are even cringier somehow.

>> No.8773335

I got a pair earlier this week (Monday, I thibk). They're...meh. I mean, yeah, they're cute as hell and they do the job. But, I don't know. They leave a little bit to be desired. I can already feel the swivel-y bits getting kind of loose. They don't really stay in place the way they did initially. It doesn't bug me, but all I'm trying to say is don't expect too much.

Notice how I said with chinese parts, as in they just got the first, cheapest supplier. A lot of things 'made in china' have better parts from elsewhere. It's not so much due to quality control, but monitoring.

Everything is made in China/Vietnam/Japan/Korea. It's rare to find something made in the USA or not from those countries due to cheaper parts of out sources. That's how this country works. Hope you don't eat anything but locally grown food and seafood either.

Got to kickstart these as a christmas gift from my father last year.
I don't have any other headphones other than in-ear ones, so it was nice getting some fun ones for gaming

As for quality, I got a nice functioning pair (that I even have to point out that I got a functioning pair is kind of crazy)
I got a pair of green ones, and they look nice when having the lights on. Quality wise they are not worth the price, they are very plasticyand it's pretty much the look you pay for and if you are picky about sound quality they are not a good pick. However they are more xomfortable than other headphones I have used.

I still like mine, I will use them for gaming and such. Though i wouldn't really recommend them to anyone, I got mine as a gift so I have no big issue with them, but i would never pay the price for them myself

Have a friend who got these from Brookstone. Said the sound quality was worse than even their cheapest earbuds, and luckily was able to return them. Personally I think they're cute but like a lot of things that'd look nice on a cartoon character they look like trash on real people.

>> No.8773423

I have a pair, a friend sent me them.
I have no idea why he did, but he did.

They don't feel cheap to me, or like they are going to break. However, they ARE extremely heavy, making it uncomfortable. They are very small and seem to pinch my head as well. I don't have a small head, but I don't have a big one either. The LEDs are actually nice and bright on them, the blue comes out very well in my opinion.

Personally, I couldn't get the microphone to work, but it's very cheap and I wouldn't want to try using it.

The speaker quality, imo, was OK. Not "omg I can't stand that!" terrible, but not GREAT, either. Acceptable.

In-ear quality is a little above average in my opinion. But you can get the same quality in a $40 pair of Seinnheiser.

Packing was A+ and surprised me.

Overall, might be fun to use here and there, but not for an enthusiast at all (this should be obvious looking at the specs). Is it worth the $150 price range? Eh. You're paying for looks/brand, much like you do with Beats by Dre. I would like to see them more in the $100-$120 price range.

I tried them at a Brookstone near where I work for shits and giggles during my lunch break and it took about 15 minutes for the sales associate to jiggle around with everything, trying to get it to work.
They were pretty heavy and I could feel them sliding off my head too (tipping forwards because of the ears).

I'm not going to diss the first issue of a project.

Hopefully they'll take it in stride and source better parts and with time they'll lose some of their weight and improve sound quality.

Let this be a lesson to you. Never buy the first version of a product. You'd think with this smartphone culture all of you would know that by now.

you're hearing those reviews from audiophiles.

the whole point of these headphones are purely gimmick. if you were really concerned with really amazing super quality sound, you probably wouldn't be attracted to these, or half of the market of fashionable headphones.

They are pretty ok(not great, but ok). Sound quality is better than my last earphones(the last ones i had to go max volume to cancel all other noises + Bass was real shit). But i have the same problem with the lights but i don't use them anyways(Why should i use them in public).

Nope, I cancelled my order with Kickstarter because based on instinct <and deciding I rather pay my credit card> and got these later.

Some weeb brought his to a lan party busting on my headphones because they were 50 dollars more expensive.

Jokes on the weeb faggot, mine can change color, 7.1 HD directional sound, wireless, foldable mike and wait for it......

They still work by the end of the night. His lost power to the entire right side. No sound, no lights and no controls.

Funny think they were actually ~$100 when they first popped up on Brookstone's site but then people complained that they paid more at the Kickstarter and they increased the price because of people wanting to sue them.

Were they full price at $100? They should be able to put them at any price they want and if they actually got scared because some weebs wanted to sue them over $50 then that's just stupid. I'd say they would have no chance in winning or even starting a case in the first place but you always hear about people being sued for silly reasons and winning.
