Okay this is the first time I've seen this before. Listing claims the $5.81 option is sold out but it's still got active stock. All the other sizes are $21 USD or so.

I ended up buying the "out of stock" one just to see if they'd honor my purchase. Odds are they'll refund me and make up an excuse.

I don't think so because if you search "Iwatobi Swim Club Jacket" and sort by lowest price, there are a half page full of similar listings doing the same thing with the price and it's all different sellers using the same stock photo.

Pretty sure they're doing the trick that the wig sellers have been doing lately. You'll see a wig for sale for $ but when you click on the listing, the wig is $$ and the item the price is for is actually just a hair net.

Advertising something that is supposedly out of stock though (despite being purchasable) is probably against eBay's ToS though. Especially when you're only doing it to ensure that your listing shows up first on the price sorting.

I have the strawberry shirt + skirt set. Not sure if what I got is the same as in that listing (I bought from here if anyone's curious: http://www.ebay.com/itm/321765223389)) The shirt is really nice and surprisingly thick for a tshirt. Printing is clear but the colors are a little less saturated. The pink is more like the third product picture in the listing that you posted and the green is a lot more like a mint green.
The skirt on the other hand is just shit. Mines made out of some scratchy, stiff polyester material. Its gotten softer after a couple of washes but I till don't wear it because it just looks awful on me. Also the printing is worse on it, there's parts that look like the ink bled or something. I can post pics if anyone's interested.
I really want to get the egg set too but I'm afraid of getting the same crappy skirt as I have now.

Are all cosplayers on eBay ripoff merchants, or is this a rare case?

Here we see a Red Hood Costume.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/321951375483
It consists of torso armour and shin guards.
The seller wants AU$420 (+ AU$50 for postage) for this costume.

Here we see Motocross Body Armour
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261529554617
It consists of torso armour and knee guards.
This seller wants AU$79.99 (with free postage) for this motocross armour.

The only difference, other then price is that one has shin guards, the other knee guards and the fact that the "Red Hood Costume" has a red logo painted on the chest and shoulders. Otherwise it's the same motocross armour.
Is red paint really that expensive?

Me again! This came in the mail a few hours after I posted it!

Wearing shitty wig cause my hair is a wreck but...

The hoodie is okay. It's much thinner than I thought it would be and even though I got a large it's still sort of small (I though getting a large would make it able to have to sleeves past my hands some but they go to my wrist. So it fits but not the way I want it.)

I recommend going 2 sizes larger. And like I said, it's not that thick so don't be planning to wear this for the winter.

All that said, it's really cute! The wings are bigger than shown in the picture and stand out more. Very comfy.

I know this may not be what you're looking for, but check out the makeup thread. People have tons of suggestions for cheap eyeshadow palettes. I personally like l'oreal. It gave me pretty strong colors when I last used it. They also have four to six color palettes, and even a nude palette out.

E.l.f. is also fairly cheap and I've seen it recced a lot here.

And if you happen to be in an area that doesn't sell these cheap palettes, I've seen some on international sellers, e.g. yesstyle.

I personally would not get a Chinese no name eyeshadow palette because the chance of a Chinese factory mixing lead, mercury, etc. into it is pretty high.

Warning now, ignore what the contents say on the info chart at the bottom. I bought it thinking I was getting Queen sized duvet cover + 2 pillow cases + sheets because the options list maxed out on characters and cut off what it says.

I actually just got the duvet cover + two pillow cases. Which isn't bad for $25 which is what the sale price was yesterday. I already have sheets to match so I much preferred the two pillowcases and most listings I saw only offered one and they were much more expensive.

>>8796143
You can do the design yourself, if you have the patience. Just make sure not to leave any raw edges and iron everything before you sew and it should be good. Getting things printed onto clothes can be a bit pricey, at least where I am, so it might not be the best option.
If you want it printed instead of sewn you can print it on yourself, too, but it might be a bit messy.

How much do you guys usually spend per item? Like is $20 too much or $40?

>> No.8801030

>>8800928
Depends on what you're buying. I don't think I've ever spent more than about £10 on a single item of clothing, and that was a really nice dress. For home stuff, like tins and coasters, £1-6 is the average. Accessories are super cheap, especially if you get them on auction, and they can cost as little as 1p each (usually a bit higher, 10-30p is the usual starting price for a bid) or about £1-3 for most BIN costume stuff. Clothes can be a lot more expensive- I saw a pleather jacket go for £30+ shipping not long ago, and that was from China- but it's usually way, way cheaper than buying it instore.

I generally am buying things in the $10 or less range, be it clothes, accessories, shoes, bags, etc. If I'm searching for a very specific item (such as for a cosplay) then I will usually go up to $30, sometimes higher depending on how "rare" or difficult to make the item is.
