Ofc. And its quite easy to do if you just put 2 and 2 toghether. We are not that big of a comm. No hard feelings though, just sad that some are such two faced charachters that they can't be honest, work thingsout and handle things like the adults most of us are.

Our youngest members was the ones who got stuck in the storm and now we know what those people think and that will stand for them. They can't speak for the whole comm. We know who they are and won't confront them because it's not necessary. If they stand up, confessed and are willing to actually discuss the problems they are having with diffrent individuals that would be great thouh.

I like most everybody, and I'm happy with that, of course you can't expect to like everybody, the only thing we have in common is a fashion after all. But I love the width of conversation, we spend more time talking about random things than lolita sometimes and it's fun. I also like most meetups, we've been having more meetups where we've gone to museums or other activities recently, instead of just out to fika (although I do like those too, they're pretty chill.) And I do love that nobody judges each other for browsing cgl or btb, haha.

I've been pretty bummed out about cosplay since ConFusion is resting after the major anal performance last year. I know last con was pretty shit, but I still have faith in them... They probably need this rest.

But I really wanted to enter my first actually big cosplay competition on home ground!

That competition was supposed to fuel me through some seriously challenging costuming, but now I haven't done jack shit about it. I couldn't just switch my goals towards NCV, because I've heard their cosplay competitions are absolutely shit for the participants.

But I'm building up some hype again with a way simpler cosplay, closer to my heart. NCV will probably be fine, or at least I hope so.

Can anyone tell me how cosplay competitions by NärCon are? Are they as horrible as I've heard or is that old info?

I too have high hopes for Confusion. Last year was sad but the year before that was a con which actually gave me a lot of fun at the con and not just thanks to friends. Reminded me a bit of uppcon in that aspect.

As for cosplay competition... I can only speak for entering last year, but pulling out when they gave us info about time literally the day before the con. Sigh. If you've nothing else planned I'm sure it's alright, though.

Meh. They're clearly just aimed at kids. It's not even a jfash style as much as it's just cutesy stuff playing up the "prettier" angle alt fashion has taken the past few years (which is in all honesty HEAVILY influenced from various jfash styles) and which thus has started bleeding into mainstream.
As long as they're not actively claiming to be lolita or something like that. I actually think it's pretty cute, and nice to have an active girl group around again. Went looking for other music and found this which is still pretty bad but not quite as obnoxious as Hello Hi.

Is she like that IRL? She has a way of expressing herself (not the talking itself, mind you) which makes her seem a lot younger than she is. Combined with some of the videos she uploads it just seems like she's pandering to a moe type crowd? Like, who else would want to watch her fumble around with a airboard and fall on her ass? "Cosplay-curious" countryfag here, living in Skaraborg.
Can't say I've seen any interest in cosplay around here, I hid my powerlevel and went with the partying crowd in gymnasiet so I kinda missed my chance to get to know any fellow weebs.

Would I have to get to a larger city to find like-minded people or are they all just hiding in Högskolan?

Being at both Närcons this year gave me the impression that swedish cons are dryer than church camp, which seems like a waste. Can't imagine a more fun drinking company than a bunch of weebs and assorted nerds.

Swedish cons come from a tradition of getting funded by youth organizations to keep them cheap and accessible (same deal as with sovsalar being a thing). The thing is that these types of funding is usually only given to events which provide what you might call a safe environment for swedish youth. I.e. no drugs or alcohol. So sober swedish cons are kind of the standard. I'm pretty sure some cons won't even allow intoxicated people in the venue.

Of course, if you know where to look you'll still find it, but it's just not part of swedish con culture.

I did say the outfits turn out ok and I assumed no one would think I was trying to make it seem like the still is of a finished outfit as that would obviously be the farest thing from ok ever. I chose that still because the cringiest part is her posing and editing.

I think it's because of the Venue.
They're finally let back into Världskulturmuseét, but to accommodate the sheer size of the con they're using the plaza outside. I'm certain they're going to put up a tent like UppCon did during their later years, and I imagine that might be expensive?
They also need to fence in that area...

Overall I'm very apologetic because I'm from GBG and really want my hometown con to be successful. I'm paying, ticket and sovsal, and I truly believe that they can make this con good.

Although while on this subject, holy shit, the bitching about the price on their Facebook page is hilarious, including the "good adults" trying to explain to the shits why it's expensive. There are so many posts where people felt the need to complain/explain as if their post would make any difference.

From what I know (lurking in the ConFusion 2016 Crew-group on facebook) the reason the tickets are more expencive is because of the venue. Since its smaller they can't take in that many people, which means that they can't sell too many tickets, which leads to them having to take more money for the tickets to deliver what they want during the con (I might have understood this wrong tho?)
To be honest I'm really excited for CF to be back at Världskulturmusset, hopefully it'll be as nice as I remember CF13 to be

anyone know anything about KodachiCon? i was there a couple of times around 2009-11 but it was only for one or two days and not too many visitors. when i look at their page now its supposed to be a 4-day con. it still seems to be at the same school as before which feels weird because i remember it at rather small. are there more activities going on there now? when i went there was only a small cinema, a few people selling stuff and a horrible cosplay show on the floor. (they didnt have a stage)

i want to go to a con again but i dont want to sleep in a sovsal so kodachicon would be better for me than confusion.
