i don't suppose any of you have any experience with changing the color of nylon? second time cplay and i would like to turn pic related into red bracers, along with the belt and pistol holster.

i was suggested spray paint and acryllic, but i don't have a clue where to start, pls help

You can, but good fucking luck, since nylon is a synthetic fabric unlike cotton, you will need to boil the nylon so the dye can take. Seriously good luck because I am assuming the items you want to dye have probably been treated with some waterproofing or something similar. You can try but if it is a darker colour than the bright red it will also be VERY difficult, it's not worth the effort so just buy your 'gear' in that colour.

You really can't do it. Spray paint will chip off and so will acrylic. Dyeing synthetic materials is possible with certain materials, but if your bracers are of any other colour than white, they will turn brown if you try to dye them red since it's more of a "tinting" than dyeing.

I saw you posting about wanting to do this on Facebook and it took all of my restraint to not tell you how terrible an idea that was, because I want people to cosplay what they like and have fun. But now that you've brought it here, I have to tell you that this idea is fucking stupid. It is exactly as >>8641988 said: it's the most basic, attention-whoringest garbage idea. It is worse than bunny versions of things. It is worse than League of Legends pool fanskins. It is worse than sexy no jutsu. And it's extra gross because Misty is 14. Do not fucking do it.

It's the demeanor not the outfit itself. Quiet does a lot more ridiculous ~sexy desu~ crap like rolling around in puddles and taking her top off. We already have people turning Misty into a sexy character. We don't need OP's cosplay abortion making it even worse.

Misty is not a sexual character. Her design isn't remarkably sexy either, she's an obvious child.

That's why a lot of people have a problem with sluts using Misty as an excuse to be sexy. Of all the actually slutty anime characters out there, they had to pick Misty.
