Get tights. If we can see the top of your socks at this angle they're probably too short for you. Your blouse looks like someone tacked some eyelet lace onto an office blouse as an afterthought, get a new blouse. Also if it's at all possible in the future, get the actual Ekaterina, or at least a better-constructed design replica.

ok so this is not necessarily for lolita but for my WEDDING next year, and i'm not "married" to the blouse in fact i'm wondering if it would be more bridal w/o one? i already own the shoes (and yes they are ugly but i love them), and i'm thinking abt buying the dress in the next couple days cos i found it on lacemarket. really just need help w accessories, i just kinda pulled things at random off the btssb sf website and then an ap blouse from google.. wedding is in like 385 days (lol) so i've got plenty of time to figure it out/hunt things down.

Jesus not the length, the ott fancy elegant associations of princess sleeves. A long peter pan collared blouse with normal cuffs or a cardigan would suffice.
For a hat I feel a boater would be cuter, or a beret. I don't know for jewellery, I'd just keep it simple with some nice gold stuff or whatever, though I'm sure you can find doge themed stuff.

If you want something more OTT, I think a good place to start would be a more defined hair style. I don't know which direction OTT you want to go, but since the cut of the dress is reminiscent of Georgian/Rococo, I'd recommend some modern takes on hair styles from those eras. I don't know how easy it would be to do this to your own hair, but I think it would do a lot to add some extra oomph. Also, a Bergère hat (Pic related) could also help you add accessories.

You should definitely choose different socks. Those are bright white while the dress is off white and it clashes. Also they look kind of cheap in general.

Looking back I agree and it is definitely noted. I have a hard time finding fancy tights that aren't stark white, would you know where to find ivory ones? I have some but they are also sock/tights andn there fore to short,, hence asking does an underskirt work or would it kill it?

I wouldn't wear that blouse, anon. High costs are much more elegant, go for a peter pan blouse with short sleeves and white wristcuffs, you could pin brown or yellow ribbons to them. I like the look of the boater with a match brown ribbon, I think the snow hat would be too obtrusive, even though it matches the theme. It's too bright. The purse is cute though and would be cute, I think that'd be enough.

Sorry my sentence structure is all funky, mobile.
But yeah anon, my opinion is that you should still treat this as a regular cutesy coord, despite it being a doge dress. Themed accessories are fine, but I wouldn't go too out there with the winter hat or whatever. You still want it to be a cohesive and legit coord.

I think natural hair can be fine for a more classic OTT. (I know everyone already plugs lizchen_r, but really she makes it work.) Hair pieces or extensions can be added if you can't get your hair to have enough volume on its own. And underskirt would be a great idea! And stockings for sure. Yeah knees don't seem like they'd go well.

Pick a more classic-oriented neutral color (brown, navy, beige, etc) and incorporate it. Or you could use really simple items in the matching white and red, maybe even old school inspired. I can see this working really well as a very toned-down country coord, or with red RHS and white lace-topped OTKs.

Looking for help to coord this skirt (Wolf in Frame by Snowfield), but I'm kind of struggling. I would love to incorporate some of the imagery on it, like a big silver crown and maybe some of the roses and pearls, but I want to look on the regal side of things.
