Has anyone else had problems with AP shoes? I bought a pair of sax tea parties secondhand off Y!JA. They were brand new, in perfect condition, but after wearing them to one tea party, they had horrible scuffs (way past the colored coating; the white part was showing) and the color was cracked and coming off where the shoe naturally creases when you take a step. I wasn't even doing much walking. Just sitting in one place for most of the party. Are all AP shoes this bad, or did I just get really unlucky?

Here are some options that I found for you
(1) Target/Xhilaration boots, no longer on the website, but you might find them in-store somewhere, or second-hand from a fellow gull (the link was going around for awhile and lots of us picked em up) in a BST thread. I own them, very sturdy and good-quality and the buckles are adjustable. Comes in brown and black.
(2) the Bordello "Whimsey" boots that lots of lolitas have, a little pricey for an offbrand find
>http://www.sinistersoles.com/WHIMSEY-115-Black-Velvet-Boots-p/s-bordello-whimsey-115-boots-b.htm
I own these as well and they're good quality. The straps aren't adjustable, but I've owned them for 6+ years and they're still in good condition. They come in black and a jewel-toned blue and red.
(3) The Bodyline bow-straps. Again, a little pricey with Yan's recent price hike, but Bodyline's shoes are good quality and a sale may come around whenever
>http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/showProduct2.asp?id=9089&pageNumber=3&pageStop=stop_3&noSubType=N
The heel is higher and it's a bit sweeter than the JMs but they got that qt strap style (and they're probably a semi-replica of the Baby boots in the OP). Comes in pink, white, brown, black.
(4) the Dolce Mojo Moxie Victorias

>Black, on sale http://www.kohls.com/product/prd-1533704/dolce-by-mojo-moxy-victoria-booties-women.jsp
I own these in black. Not quite the same style but the same concept. Cute but they're fairly wide (I have narrow feet though)
(5) Classical Puppets steam band boots
>Taobao link
https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10.5-c.w4002-189500549.39.PrijWO&id=38687827582

Yea, these aren't for me. Plus they only go up to a size 41. That's like a 9.

I wasn't a fan of them in the stock photos but seeing them in full length, I think they look a lot less bulky and not so high.

I'd wear the shit out of 5cm heels, but at that price, I'm not going to risk 7-9cm heels. I love Choke though.

They look *really* good imo but I wished she'd offer more choice. 2 heights, these high ones and also <5~6cm.

Pretty much this.

Last time I ordered two pairs of heeled tea party styles, and including shipping (I think ems), I paid like 125. I've never had any problems with my shoes from them so I don't know why so many people rag on them. They scuff way less than my bodyline or AP shoes and have held up really well.
Measure your foot properly and look at size refs. Like, if you know you fit a 23.5, go for that instead of a 24 if they try to push you up. Your feet might also be different sizes.

iirc she talked about this on her personal page, she wanted them to be lower but because they had a form for this shape available it was cheaper to go higher because having a custom made form would be really expensive or something. i don't know much about shoes but that's probably the difference between having made stuff in china or not

I see the shoes in street snaps all the time. I know they're Vivienne Westwood x Melissa but holy hell are they hard to find. They're out of production and fucking nobody is reselling them. If anyone sees a pair in any color (but pastel colors, whites/creams, and red preferred) in size 8-9, please let me know.

You and everyone else on this board, it seems. Even the replicas became so impossible to find anymore that I think most people just gave up.

They look bulky as fuck even on her, and we all know she's got twiggy legs.
I'm not seeing the elegance of these at all.

Well... I hope they sell well so she can make a profit and introduce a lower pair because I just can't wear those. I do a lot of walking. They would be perfect otherwise, and I do like her.

I have them in black, and i love them. but just fyi, the color is very much as pictured -- they almost strike me as being between black and a very (very) dark navy.
