Another gothic/class lolita wanting to do youtube channel but I don't buy lolita often enough to make a haul type channel. I have videos of some lolita fashion shows though and I enjoy doing 'lolita activities' like classical concerts and stuff like that while wearing it. All the times I've done something interesting within lolita I just forget to document it.

What I'd like to do really is reviews/look at different BL visual novels, where you can find translations and which ones are translated, certain BL artists/mangakas reviews, BL drama cd reviews and things that are coming out in the future. I have a nice set up with lighting I could use and I'd probably wear cute outfits/lolita so I don't look like 100% fujoshi trash but I don't know who'd be interested in that sort of content. Not quite about lolita youtubing but I think lolita and BL fans cross over often.

Can someone give a good rounded list of video topics that aren't related to just hauls? I'm not super crafty, so how to videos wouldn't work for me. Also looking to start a channel. If you just want to talk about controversial things you don't need video footage of you. You could make great videos just using images to illustrate your point and voice over. Change the sound a little too if you're worried about the voice being recognized.

Maybe part of the reason why gothic and classic lolitas are less often youtubers is because sweet lolitas tend to be more upbeat and blogger like in nature with lots of things to show of. Showing your toy collection on youtube is gonna be more successful than talking about that non weeb concert you've been to.

Also, I'm assuming you want subscribers, and the only way to do that with coord vids is to upgrade your camera, so you can get better detail shots, and to make your coords less boring. Your outfits are okay now, but they're not really special, you have to really go over the top and add lots of interesting things into it. Anons, how do you find the motivation or energy to film videos? I have a load of ideas, but I just can't bring myself to do my makeup and wear even a nice top to film myself for a while. They do not give a crap what you dress in. They want people who are inventive and able to design.
The Fashion Design Major (at least where I live) has a huge issue of "shoppers" who ~LOVE CLOTHING SO MUCH~ and they try to join the program when they have no interest in the hard work that goes along with design and think it is all glamour and fun.
For any design major Jillian seems to have quite a good attitude (from what I have seen, but I have better things to do than watching her videos) and an interest in different styles. However, I have yet to see anything creative or fresh come out of the girl. All she seems to do is buy clothing and make flower crowns. This is absolutely not going to get her into a fashion design program. If she is seriously interested I hope she has something else that she doesn't post online - because if there is one thing I hate more than people who dress badly, it's people who love to wear clothes and think that this makes them qualified to design it.

I wouldn't mind other things that don't necessarily have those. Harvest Moon came to my mind or even Fire Emblem or Bravely Default for some reason. I guess what I mean as long as it's not something like the big, flavor-of-the-moment mainstream game that clashes horribly with lolita aesthetic.

You'd have to actually buy a device that captures DS gameplay, or you could use an emulator on a PC and use screen capturing software.

Just remember that you'll have to be doubly entertaining for it. While playing you'll have to be able to make witty comments and keep your audience wanting more. I'd suggest watching a lot of big gamers, and seeing their video styles. "Let's Play" videos can easily flop when all you do is play the game with a little commentary in between. Remember that if people wanted to just see gameplay, they'd just play the game themselves. so you HAVE to add more.
