My mom bought me a black chinese dress with a gold sequin dragon on it. Braided my hair and called myself Ranma.

No pictures exist and I am glad for it. I still have the dress though but it's been like 10 years and there is no way I'll fit in it ever again

Arisugawa Juri from the Utena movie because I loved her outfit from the movie.

I think all my photos were wiped long ago, but this was back in 2000, so I used my own hair and spray colored it... there were no orange wigs back then that didn't look like tacky shit.

I worked hard on that costume but no one recognized me
That fucking backpack took forever
Not even the other PSG cosplayers recognized me
Thank god no pictures exist of it because looking back, it wasnt as great as I thought

I have deleted all photos I have of the whole outfit, but just imagine a horrible clusterfuck of a badly made long tulle skirt in black and a black normal skirt on top of that with a pirate blouse, Hot Topic gloves, and a black corset with victorian black pirate-esque shoes and a cane.

Holy hell. This thing was a trainwreck and I thought I was so cool wearing it.

This was me at my first convention 2004 and first cosplay. I was lust, and i had never sewed before. My mom wasnt keen on me going so i hid that i was cosplaying and sewed this at my friends house.

The top was to bad i had to hold it up when i walked. I later ran a wire through the top and fixed it.

This was Jacon 2008 I think, when the con was in its death-throes.
I bought everything from various mall clothing stores, my gun was an airsoft pistol I bought in the dealer's room for $15 (WHAT A DEAL)

I cut my wig by putting it on my bf's head, he fidgeted a lot, and it ended up crooked.

I felt AWESOME

Depends what you'd consider cosplay.

I used to do shitty subtle closet cosplays of the kids from the first three seasons of Digimon when I was in middle school, and ended up making Rika/Ruki from Tamers for Home Ec class in 8th grade. Then I've also done Halloween costumes of Gatomon, Inuyasha, and Yami Bakura with white hair color spray. Never got pictures of anything though.

First con cosplay was pre-TS Yoko. I didn't know about the slut/basic bitch stigma and I wanted something simple since it was for my high school senior project. I wore it once and retired it for good after cgl showed me the light.

My first cosplay was Hitomi Kanzaki from Vision of Escaflowne. Picture is from 2012, after I got a wig, but I made it back in 2009. Getting a wig did improve it somewhat, but I still didn't really know how to do makeup and the fit was weird. I'm tempted to remake it sometime, since she's still one of my favorite characters.

My second cosplay, was so exited that I threw this for a hetalia photoshoot EVERYTHING was wrong, the color was off, the wig was long, women boots and belt, among a lot of bad shit. Still looking for my first cosplay photos.

My first was in 5th grade, I did Cassidy from Team Rocket. Somehow I kept the dress through all of my closet cleanings/anti pokemon denial stage and for shiggles tried it on when I was 20, and it somehow still fit. Like I'm a DD so I have no idea how something from 5th grade still fits but made me laugh.

This is supposed to be "young Professor Snape" from Harry Potter complete with party city wig I chopped into with scissors, my little brother's Batman halloween cape, an Old Navy trenchcoat, and a stick I painted black for a "wand." Well, at least I had fun I guess.
