Crap. I was looking for cute house goods and ended up down the rabbit hole looking at furniture. I wish there was an easy way to get furniture from taobao but it seems like surface/sea would be the only viable option. Do any shopping services even offer that still? Not that I want to wait half a year for my stuff anyway...

-kucos was good I think, but it's been about a year since I've worn any of their wigs and it was a dark wig so I didn't have to worry about it covering my hair
-fmlcos and lingyisun are snug fits for me, but they're comfortable. One of the older wigs I bought from lingyisun is a bit smaller than one I bought later and feels like lucaille.
-Ayanamisatoru has the most comfortable wig caps I've encountered. I've sold mine off so I can't comment specifically on

Yes you can, but you can only put up to 20 packages (not items) in one order and max 20kg.

I can talk to the shopkeepers myself so I definitely vastly prefer it over shopping services because it's cheaper and they take CNY (I live in Australia so dealing with shopping services that only take USD would be hell).

I've ordered a couple of times and have never had any items missing or had the wrong one sent out, and hopefully it will stay that way lol.

Yup, $96.90 total.

I don't know why they felt the need to type out the maths behind it.
Basically, they deducted some amount from your balance and then deducted your balance from the total price.

>They deducted $121.19 for the items.
>Leaving your balance at $0.87c.
>Shipping is $96.3.
>They deduct your balance from the shipping, making it $95.43.
>They want to charge you $1.47 for something.
>They add that onto your shipping, making it $96.90

It's possible, but I don't think so, they've pulled this before and when I order again and ask them to wait, the order goes fine. Somehow, they think that if the seller is offline for one day (or just a few hours), they'll never come back and I need my stuff refunded. They might also say that when they're actually blacklisted from a store (seems they can't order from 'miss piggy', the store with mini crowns).

Idk if anyone will remember, I posted my taobao order ( >>8336999 ) over a month ago and was asked to review these shoes when I got them.

I've never written a review before, so this is most likely not going to be a very good one. If you have any questions feel free to ask them.
I guess I'll start with the fit, I just bought my regular size and they fit perfectly on me. One thing pretty weird about them I will say, is that you'd expect them to be like wedges, but for me at least, they were a lot more like walking in really high heels. I don't feel like I'm going to fall in them at all, but they are just as uncomfortable as walking in heels. This could change after I walk in them more though, I just walked around my house for a bit in them. They also seem to be well made/sturdy, I even tried pulling at the bunnies and they didn't budge at all.

To the anon who was wondering if they were knockoffs, they definitely are. They say, "Liz Lisa," on the inside, lol.

I picked out the "light blue." There's also a "dark blue," but I think both of them are the exact same but have different patterns on the bottom. Mine are exactly like the ones Dakota has and have a white background with a black star pattern on them. I think the dark blue ones have a red star pattern on them.

It says on the page that the reservation price is 80. I assumed that my SS would charge me the full price, but they didn't - as I understand, the blouses would be shipped on the 10th and the status in the SS page says 'waiting for goods.'

Spreenow is really prompt, pieces of my order is still arriving to their warehouse, but they've always answered my questions really fast, usually as soon as the hours on their live chat say. They reviewed my order, and placed it really fast, all in the same day in fact (and I ordered 17 items). The quality checking doesn't take long at all (for my items that have arrived at their warehouse so far, they took 1-2 business days to arrive and they checked them as soon as they did), and I believe they do offer express domestic shipping and DHL. Gokotai (Sorry if my hand looks weird in the pic) is actually really nice. In general that store is super nice with their wigs. They're thick and pretty true to the color. For Gokotai it's like a hint of yellow so it's pretty light cream. They try to make it come pre-styled but nonetheless Krul and Gokotai need some work.

Honoka, the only gripe I have with it is the bun. It's like, you have to tie it or something? I"m not sure on that. I'm still trying to figure it out. But the wig quality is nice. The bun, I might need to spray it to make it stay the way it is.

The cosplay itself actually fits pretty snug. The zipper is on the side and the all the bows, the ones on the cosplay itself and on the neck are safety pinned. Definitely shorter than I initially thought. I chose this particular one because I really liked the open back part of it, and I think it's pretty accurate to the anime? I might be wrong. Really hard to find a bra that'll fit it though.

Boots are pretty snug too. They were custom order so I just had to tell them the calf circumference, height and shoe size so they fit pretty well for me. Just really weird to try to bend my knee since it clashes with the boots.

This cosplay was the weird one. I wasn't sure how to feel about the stock images because the lighter blue looked really bright, and since TBR ups the contrast on their photos, I was really concerned. Though, it's a pretty muted color which is really good actually.

All the designs on the outfit itself show up pretty well too, nothing is faded. I think I screwed something up on the shoulder measurement? So the thing doesn't close properly but I think I can fix that pretty easily. One thing I hadn't expected was that the sleeves were sewn onto the base of the costume itself. Gives one hell of a time to get it on honestly.

The leg warmers aren't something they ask for measurements. So it's slightly tight but not really tight, it would be a problem with someone with thicker legs. Can't really say much bad about this. It's the typical cosplay that has the obi velcroed and the bows safety pinned.

submitted this order many threads ago, and it came in last week. I was the anon who said their order cost only $25 to ship SAL; it turned out I had accidentally selected surface.

that was aggravating, especially given that they also consistently took 2-3 days to get back to me after my initial order and payment. I'm jelly of the anons who seem to be able to catch them when they're around and get responses within hours, but at any rate I can't afford any TB orders for a while anyway.

general review: everything is as expected given the low prices I paid. the only things I don't like are the skirt with the stripes, as the ribbon is really shit and shiny and looks wrinkly due to the pleating, and the socks, which are a really odd, visibly chunky knit, which isn't that noticeable when you wear them like legwarmers, but they aren't all that soft. sweaters are decently thick and loose (but I'm petite), some of the ties are weirdly short and look a bit awkward even on blouses because they fit almost like chokers.

I can do detailed reviews/detail shots if anyone wants.

I bought the top, skirt, and scarf set. the scarf was a long rectangular white strip; I was under the impression it would be red (the description at the time said that while all the options said "white scarf" the included scarf would be red), and it's about as shiny as you would expect.

the material of the seifuku itself is basically polycotton, pretty much bodyline-tier -- ever so slightly static-y when ironed and it feels stiflingly warm when it's hot out. the top has a well-hidden side zipper and the modesty panel-thing is attached with buttons rather than snaps or velcro, which is a nice touch. the white ribbon detail is quite possibly the same ribbon that's used on the skirt with the two stripes, as it's pretty shiny.

skirt is pretty much identical to the other three skirts I bought in terms of construction and material, so if you've ever bought any of those, it's the exact same. all it has is a button and a zipper, no elastic anywhere, so be sure to consider whether you'll be tucking in your blouses when you look at measurements. I have yet to wash the skirt so I can't say anything about the pleats holding, but I have ironed it and can say they come out easily with an iron.

I'm wondering how often you find that an item you want to buy is sold out? I'm buying clothes for semi professional normie wear, so like, white blouses, skirts, cardigans, oxfords etc. I'm just worried that I'm going to spend weeks getting an order together only to find most of it is sold out. Has this happened to anyone? There's plenty of stuff from like, two seasons ago that I want. Am I likely to find its no longer available?

p sure that if you're searching just "curtains" (窗帘) then what you'll be getting are actual curtains you just need to put on a curtain rod. if you add "diy fabric" (diy布料) to curtains, then you'll be getting fabric to make your own, and the item previews generally look like pieces of cloth rather than something hanging directly in front of a window.

if the stuff you want has been up for that long, chances are it'll still be in stock. sellers have to go in and manually change the number of stock they have, so if it's been a while they've had plenty of time to mark something as sold out.

unless it's a ridiculous clearance sale or a brand new release in a niche fashion with low stock (like indie lolita), a lot of times they won't sell out right away. if you're buying mainstream clothes, especially from a tmall store or one of the bigger, well-established taobao sellers, you'll probably manage to get everything you want.

I'm doing my fourth Taobao haul atm, it's my biggest one yet and it's all fairy kei. I've been slowly paying everything off over the past few months - 11 shirts, 2 sweaters, 2 jackets, 2 pairs of bloomers/pumpkin pants, 3 skirts, 2 bags, 2 beanies, a cap, a pair of tights, a load of bracelets/hair accessories/jewellery-making stuff, and some badges. I don't mind waiting for this stuff, nor do I mind doing it in separate orders over time, but would it be worth it to keep all the shoes in one order or just keep in one pair and leave the rest for other orders?

There's a pair of canvas shoes, 2 pair of sneakers, a pair of those bunny-ear lolita heels, and a pair of mary janes, if that helps. I've only ever ordered relatively lightweight Antaina shoes through Taobao and that wasn't in with a massive order, just a bag. Can anyone give estimates what shipping to the UK might total out at?

If you're just getting mainstream stuff, then if it sells out just copy the listing terms and search those and you'll likely find tons of other sellers selling the same things. If you want to be proactive, then when you find an active listing, put the entire item title in the search bar and check the "same" and "similar" listings (the two orange bars on item pictures on the search page) and take down a few alternate links. This only works when an item is in stock though.

Also, I would caution you against buying too much "normie stuff." Taobao may be cheap, but with shipping and fees the costs can add up fast to the point where you end up paying near Western fast fashion prices (and the quality is generally comparable. Anything I've bought that's been better has been "expensive" by taobao standards. My best stuff is like $35+ USD before fees or shipping.). If you're gonna do that, you might as well buy stuff locally where you can try it on. If your local shopping sucks though I can understand. I've just seen some people come away sticker shocked when they thought taobao was "supposed to be so cheap!" I mostly buy stuff I can't find locally easily and throw in a few normie things in my already bulk order.

I don't live in the uk, but shoes definitely add up weight wise so you're looking at a sizable package for the shoes alone. Most of my shoes range from 1-2kg each, sometimes a little more for the ones with platform soles (this includes the shoebox if you're wondering why they're so heavy)

I think you could definitely do a shoes only order, especially if you need to save up for the inevitably more expensive shipping charge.

Thanks for the advice! I understand the issue with buying normie stuff from taobao, but I actually have reason to believe the clothes, especially blouses, will fit me better than western stuff as I'm very petite and narrow chested. The two chinese blouses I own from eBay fit me much better than any other shirts I've ever owned. Plus its not easy to find a wealth of cute blouses with details like pintucks, embroidery and cute collars in department stores. Maybe I'm wrong, but I hate schlepping around looking for clothing in malls so it's worth it to me just to pay the crazy shipping.

Haha yeah, by normie I meant like...will blend in with regular people but more uncommon/interesting than just target and Macy's crap. It seems like no mid range US department stores are willing to make professional looking blouses with feminine touches or nice tailoring. There's always some stupid thing about a shirt like a weird tunic waist or idiotically short sleeves. Plus even small shirts are usually too wide at the shoulder for me. Want to do my first taobao order... How accurate is To Alice's sizing? Are they body measurements or the clothes measurements? One of the skirts is listed as 60cm for the waist and then in brackets 60-63cm below it, so does that mean the max is 63cm? The next waist size up is 67cm with 67-70cm underneath.

and a detail of the upper part. the tube length from heel to hem is about 28 inches unstretched, so they're definitely long. because of the material and how they're knit, they don't stretch that much width-wise, but you're not really meant to wear them as thigh-highs anyway.

the ties are all really nice quality given that they were all so cheap. the fabric is a good weight and not at all that shitty shiny satin. you do have to sew on the snap yourself, which is something I asked about in some other thread around here earlier, but otherwise they're really cute, sturdy ties.

the last seifuku bow, along with another bow I got from bodyline around the same time.

the bow from zhuzhusl is vastly superior than the bodyline one - the fabric is thicker and way less flimsy than bodyline's, which is a bit more shiny and has that slippery-smooth sort of "cheap" feeling to the material. zhuzhusl's also comes with extendable elastic, which is nice as you can wear it with sailor collars as well. definitely my favorite of the bunch.

as for the cardigans: they're nice and thick and will be really comfy for cooler weather in the fall. some of the buttons are a bit loose and will require some reinforcement, but aside from that I really like the material and construction. the fabric isn't incredibly soft, but it's on par for something you'd get at F21 or similar, and it'll probably loosen up with a wash or two.

I got a size small, and it fits a little bit more snugly than I would have thought it would -- I'm wearing a bodyline skirt in the attached pic, which has fuller pleats (due to the thicker material of the skirt) and is longer than the taobao skirts, and you can see how the cardigan sort of bites into the sides and makes the pleats on the edges stick out awkwardly. the cardigans also lose that slouchy, baggy look on a skirt as long as the bodyline one, but they look better with the shorter skirts.

if I could reorder these, I'd probably size up to an M. again, I'm on the smaller side, so if you're even a little taller than the average petite chinese girl, you'd probably best size up if you like the really oversized look.

Overall pretty good. The pom poms, leggings and gloves are a tad on the cheaper side but it's not a big deal. There were some extra things I'm not too sure what to do with; there were invisible straps included which was good but there was a roll(yard?) of plastic boning or something??
