New Arizona Thread.

Are you dead from the heat yet?

>> No.8468084

Why make this? There's nothing to discuss for a few months.

Sabo isn't until September and the lolita conn has been dead. Why did you make this thread? We are boring af, all we got is cacti and Doug Ducey

There's a Kpop dance contest coming up. I know some weaboos like to intermingle.

I'll be moving there this fall. How difficult is it to wear lolita in the heat? I really like wearing a few layers like blouse, jsk, bolero or capelet and I'm afraid I would have to stick with OPs forever.

Photographer here, been going to cons latley and taking a bunch of pictures and approaching people to give them free protraits and build my portfolio, thanks for helping me shed some of my social akwardness / anxiety.

Anyone know what sabo con is like for photos?

90% of our summer meets are inside. The worst part is getting into your car to drive there.
Other than that, the winters are perfect for lolita, and I love wearing big fluffy coats

But I'm probably not one to talk since I've been in AZ my whole life so I'm used to the heat

AZ friends: How do you keep scorpions from crawling up your cosplay and hiding in your petticoat?

>> No.8472014

>>8472010
depending on where you live in az, you might not have scorpions. If you live on what used to be fram/crop land (West Valley) , you will not have to deal with them. If you live further out in rural az (Buckeye, Apache Junction, Norterra, etc) , you will have the scorps. As long as you keep your house clean and trash free, you will reduce your chance of scorpions immensely.

Don't worry, you will not die if you are stung, we literally treat them like bee stings here

I'll be in Tempe for a show at the end of October, what's the weather like in AZ for Halloween? Is it still hot during the day, or am I likely to get rained on?
Also, how nuts does Mill Ave get for Halloween?

>> No.8472843

>>8472834
Mill Ave is apeshit during Halloween. There is no parking and cops are everywhere.

What is the cosplay and lolita community like in Tucson?

>> No.8472983

>>8472978
Honestly friend, your best bet would be just to not live in Tuscon. Most of what I heard is meh, lolita comm there is small and most cosplayers end up commuting to central AZ stuff anyways

Literally the worst state in the union.
