Happy ILD /cgl/ ! Since the weather is getting warmer in most places I thought we could make a thread for casual lolita and lolita items worn in regular fashion (nitpick/god-tier only) geared for the summer and warmer months. Self post friendly! Let's try to cover all styles Hardmode: no cardigans

I would love to see more examples like this. I like to dress up like this on the weekends or when doing errands but am having trouble coordinating skirts, since I usually wear OPs and JSKs. I just started buying skirts and currently only have Cream Cookie Collection (in ivory/beige) and whipped showcase in white. My biggest challenge is buying blouses and tops that are more casual. Any suggestions to anyone reading?

dont quote me on this but in a pinch forever 21 and h&m do have very good loliable blouses as long as they aren't too boxy or sheer, if anything try them on with the skirt in the store and see how you feel with the silhouette. Thrift stores can have some good options though its obviously hit and miss for some. I'll grab a few from previous casual threads though some may be nitpicky to other seagulls.

Axes femme always has nice loliable blouses. You'll need an SS to order from their site. I usually just go to yahoo auctions and hunt down blouses from there - you can get them for as cheap as 10 USD sometimes or even less.

I love this, but small nitpick. If it's hot enough to warrant open-toed shoes, then it's too hot for a long sleeved cardigan like that. A short sleeve cardi or bolero would make this perfect.

My preferred ways are either Buyee or Chibi Tenshi.

Buyee - "click here to buy this item for overseas customers." I do this because it's easy and if I'm in a rush.

Chibi Tenshi - She has a shopping service form on her website where you link the items you want, your max bid, etc.

source: yes, I tried sleeping in one. Do not recommend. That aside, it's chiffon and not really breathable.

Eep. Cherry Marguerite then. I get them mixed up as they're both berry prints that came out one after another.

Other thing I get mixed up with is why petit patisserie has a similar cut and theme to melty donuts and yet the two are so different in terms of desirability. I like them both, though. So light and wearable for summer.
