The local fire department is easily googled. 4chan is telling me my post is spam, so I had to remove the number.

AX is going to draw at least 90,000. It was overcrowded at 80,000 and was probably only designed for 60k or so. It is an actual danger too. What if, God forbid, a fire actually broke out? And there's going to be all sorts of dehydration and heat issues. And staff that yells at you to move when you need to sit down and rest for a bit, and there's no where to sit except a hallway.

the overall convention center is able to handle a large number of people. certain areas are not able to (like south lobby). south lobby got shut down to new entry temporarily last year because of capacity. the rest of the convention was able to function normally but it's because all the cosplayers and therefore photographers flock there that it gets super crowded.

tbh dehydration and shit is because a lot of attendees are dumb as fuck and don't know how to deal with heat. yeah, the lines sucked but shit niggers bring some goddamn water. it's fucking LA.

As long as I'm staff, I can't charge you guys to come, in good faith. We're the best when it comes to nerd comedy as some of our comics perform in comedy clubs in California outside of nerd topics, but it's still very big fish in a small pond kinda deal. From what I've seen, we're about as funny as a typical $5 comedy club/2 drink minimum kind of night.

Until the comics themselves are known independently for their talents as comedians and people are paying for it at other events, then yeah it might make sense. This is a fan panel that originated at Anime Expo, so my only goal with it is to make it grow as much as I can for fans and would-be nerd comics that want a good stage to perform at, and working with the friends I've made over the years in running the show.

Of course it is, both societies have men with nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Men complain about not getting women because the whole point of civilization is giving men who contribute to the civilization a near certain guarantee that they will pass their genes.

That is the basis of the social contract, why else would men join a society?

Protection? Food? Company?

Modern environments are outgrowths of primitive ones. In other words, you would still be displaying all the non verbal cues of submissive behavior that led to Chads having their way with your 'qt3.14', except in a primitive society these things would be even more amplified and obvious because these submissive non verbal cues you would be giving off is all they had to work off of. You'd find 50,000 years ago; the things that made Chad successful like aggressive behavior are largely still at work today, but with today's societal norms.

They would vote your cheeto stained existence off the island, with sharp sticks and stones

Only submissive people fantasize in secret about the things they do if the laws wouldn't apply to them while following them obediently in public, as opposed to people that completely disregard them (dumb) or use them to their benefit.

As a guy, I'd rather room with dudes. Speaking from experience, girls are somehow more disgusting, smellier and messier than men. You bitches in general work some crazy voodoo to clean up that well. And this ain't going into hygiene issues and assuming the girls aren't drama whores.

It's fucking useless to do girls only if you want to see girl flesh. You're not going to see shit, since the girls are just going to shoo you out or into the bathroom.

It goes both ways tbh, there are trash guys that spill drinks or smoke reckless af in the room or hog the TV to rig a gaming platform and chill at the foot of the bed playing vidya the entire convention

Gender doesn't matter that much as long as everyone is on the same page, a room full of cosplayers will understand each other a little better if they're all doing last minute things to fix their shit in their room

They've been paying off their deficit every year so money isn't an issue. It's getting smaller and smaller and had they not bought conji it would probably be in the black. The 80k attendees has made them think they are in the big leagues, which they are to some degree, but they still have a lot of improvements to make before they can really be a top level convention. If they are capping attendance to a lower level then they also want to make up the lost revenue there.

Even it is close to the convention center, there is a reason why it's not part of the hotel block. Check out travel sites like Expedia and Travelocity and read the reviews, the bad outweighs the good. The hotel is not part of some chain so the ownership does not have to answer to a higher power and can fucking do whatever they want. Majority of the bad reviews were with previous management, but the cycle of bad shit at the Fig is still the same.

because they have decided that Anime Expo is popular. consider it a test year. if attendance numbers are still high regardless of higher ticket prices that means they picked the right choice. it's leaving money on the table by not raising prices, especially if they anticipate capping total attendance. I used this example last thread but see SDCC and their consistent sellout/price increases.

If you are press/pro reg: submission for approval ended last year. I forget when the actual pro badge period started. Free guests, like usual, disappeared in a blink of an eye.

let's not forget SDCC for a full badge (4+preview) is over $200. you're paying for those events up front even if you don't go and there are zero discounts offered nowadays. at least with AX you can get an early reg or black friday/cyber monday price.

Ballroom 20 and hall H lines destroy any AX line. Popular autograph? SDCC exclusive from Hasbro or other limited number places in the exhibit hall? Hope you like camping overnight if you want to guarantee it. Also the Masq ticket line, goddamn.
other panel room lines are roughly similar to AX's (6CDF and 6AB can get pretty bad though)

I have never had to camp overnight at AX. AX's autograph line (day 4, when they actually bothered to make a line) was a walk in the park compared to SDCC autographs. I showed up at about 830am and easily guaranteed me what I wanted.
