How do you pose in lolita? Are there any poses that annoy you? Post good/bad pics. I need some pose inspo since I've been repeating the same ones in every pic.

Sorry for the pic for ants..
So I have a kinda big chin (not super huge, but I'm self conscious about it) and I want to cover it somehow. It's fine whenever I take selfies/etc because I can adjust the angle to make it look smaller, but I can't do that when people take pics of me. If I did the popular 'hand by face' pose but moved it towards the bottom of my chin to cover some of it, would that look ok? Or are there any other poses I can do to cover my chin?

Personally I'm really tired of people looking down in their photos. I don't know why it's a thing and I'm not even sure why it annoys me so much but it does. I'd rather the people looked literally anywhere but the floor.

My advice to you is to get your laptop out, turn on your web camera, back away and pose for some timed pics. Just experiment with different postures and poses until you find some that look good for you, so you have a backlog of moves to strike when it's picture time

This is a stupid argument, dressing to suit your face and figure is part of the game and different things look good on different people. So yes, a 40 year old 400lb woman with six chins would not look good in this outfit. What is your point?

I've been thinking about upping my coordinate shot game recently. Normally I just take mirror pictures, but I've found that this has a magical way of turning even my favorite outfits into terrible, ill-proportioned messes.
Luckily I have a camera and tripod that I can use, but I'm curious - what sort of backdrops do people prefer? I was thinking of dedicating a little corner of my room to it, maybe decorating with some flower garlands and little knick-knacks I've collected to make the background interesting.
But would the repetition of this background become boring from picture to picture? Would I be better off seeking out different parts of my house to keep things interesting? I've considered taking pictures outside in interesting locations, but my city isn't home to the kindest people and I worry someone will just run by and snatch up my camera while I'm busy trying to pose.
> tl;dr Pre-decorated backgrounds - a good idea or a waste of time?

>> No.8297106

Yeah seconding this, I would like to see some good ideas for poses for mirror shots

>> No.8297107

>>8297061
Well, I think it's a good idea
Just make sure your bg is clean and isn't too cluttered or distracting, it's all about your coord after all. I think having nicely decorated bgs really adds to the pic and can really help flatter(?) your coord. Changing it up doesn't hurt either, it keeps it fresh and interesting!

>All in all I think per-decorated bgs are a good idea

DO NOT try this pose if you are short af. Trust me it will only highlight how your legs are barely the same length as your torso or make them look stubby and fat.

Tips for short people?

>> No.8297222

>>8297211
If you want to look taller, make sure your photos are taken from a lower angle (if someone else is taking photo or using a tripod). So positioning it slightly below your waist and aiming up towards you. Also crossing one leg over in front of the other will elongate your legs like in these photos:

A notice to all ladies! If you are going to put your head down any, please bring in the bottom of your chin by putting the back of your tongue to the roof of your mouth. It lifts the part under your chin that connects to you neck and creates a slimmer look, so that when your head is down you don't get the possible double look.

Sincerely,

>> No.8297238

Actually if you bring your tongue to the roof of your mouth it makes your chin look worse. You should actually be pulling your tongue to the lower back area of your mouth to get rid of it.

I misunderstood for a moment too and when I tried it out it made my chin look worse as well. But what you should actually be doing is kind of rolling up your tongue like >>8297240 said, or kind of folding it up and sucking it back so it's as small as possible? Kind of like when people do this, just folded over and pulled back as far as possible. (Sorry if any of you are grossed out by tongues!)

>> No.8297285

>>8297061
I think it's a good idea. Keeping it fairly simple is probably the best way to go, unless you very much stick to one substyle. A nice small table with a few knick-knacks, a framed picture on the wall and maybe a vase of flowers that you change every so often would be nice. Enough to be interesting but not so much to be distracting. I wouldn't go for anything over the top unless, like I said, you stick to only one style but if you did something very Victorian would be great for classic (nice wallpaper and draperies) and a gothic corner would be gorgeous.

Having always a consistent nice, non-cluttered background is better than jumping around your house until you end up where you started again.
The one you posted is very silly to me because of the perfectly placed not so kawaii heater.
