If you like Lolita dresses but don't want to wear Lolita due to standing out, you could always find simple style dresses and just wear them like a normal sundress. I do that a lot because of my above complains about it being too uncomfortable, but I still like the dresses.

I have a lot of pictures of outfit inspo that aren't j fashion that I'd like to post but won't since people around here are cracking down hard on anything even a little bit off topic. They are influenced by some of the same things j fashion is (European idealism, 80's pop) but different looking, and still cute.

I'm currently working on making my dream of having a fairy tale inspired wardrobe a reality, and would love to post and get inspo, but it's also not j fashion related except for overlap with Lolita and mori and natural kei.

Maybe something more like this would work better for you? It's two pieced, so there's sort of an emphasis on the waist I have tiny boobs so I don't have much experience.

It's weird. I really love lolita, but it's just too much to wear on at once and yeah, it's weird in spite of being involved for years, I still get self conscious about being dolled up in public. Sometimes I even find hime-kaji or any style involving otks too much. I kind of envy people who are comfortable with pairing shorts/mini skirts with otks/thigh highs. Maybe it's just my small town mentality or I'm used to casual wear. idk.

Not all lolita is going to look good like that, nor will it all be light enough to wear as a sundress. In my experience, brand tends to be a fair bit heavier than even normalfag semiformal dresses.

It's so odd, I have the body type that should work well in overalls but they look so dumpy on me. I don't know what it is. Salopettes look fine, but shorts on the bottom, you can forget it.

Yeah, I feel you. I really want one, too, now that they're back in style (at least for teens/grownups), but it doesn't really work with my rectangular figure, especially since I'm fairly muscular. Sallopettes don't work for me though. I like waist defining clothes, but I sometimes feel uncomfortable wearing anything that cinches my waist (idk if it's an ibs problem or what).
