its not canon as far as the scales aren't scale mail and she did textured spandex or something similar instead. she doesn't have a darker corset, but instead made it part of the spandex suit. that's what I meant by interpretation.

I do the new run SG, so I lucked out and don't have to worry about the added chunkiness, but damn was the tail uncomfortable.

I don't think I could ever do 90s SG because of the added bulk, though that design is super cute.

I think if I were going to do that version I would wear a corset. Exaggerating your curves and shaving a few inches off your waist would mitigate the frumpifying effect of the fur.

Interesting suggestions. I'll consider it for my next stab at the costume. I've already got what I already got. I may be a size 2, but I've no curves at all, which is why I think it looked so bad.

On the other hand, my boyish shape was one of the factors that led me to picking SG. I wish I had some pics of me in costume to share, but I lost them all when my old computer crashed.

How did you guys handle the tail? I picked function over form, and let it 'hang'. (not sure how else to word it) My sister called it a tail-pillow. That way I could move it out of my way to sit. I think I'll go for the structured curvy shape next time. Thoughts?

Mine is attached to the top of my vest and via the belt around my waist (pic!) It was mostly for ease of taking off for going to the loo, but it still doesn't help that much and also it flops to the side instead of standing up which annoys the hell out of me. Definitely gonna try and find another way of doing it sometime.

I had the same exact problem! You can see here that if I'm not standing perfectly still, perfectly straight up it just kinda flops. I'm thinking of fixing it with a solid core of some kind in the second version of the tail I'm workin' on.

The helmet is totally the hardest part. Take your time with it though, because it's obviously the most important part of the costume. And make sure to get a good gloss coat on it. I have to keep a microfibre cloth on me just to keep it polished.

It's happened before in a rotating door. One time we were outside on a windy day and it ended up all sorts of finagled in a nearby bush.

The worst part though is the lack of peripheral vision means I usually miss seeing people who clearly want a picture unless they shout at me.

I am betting you will see a lot of lazy ones.
The solution is to set yourself apart from the lazy thrift store/I have a red jacket in my closet/blonde not wearing a wig Scarlet Witch cosplays.

First, get it right. Wig the right color and length, jacket with the right fit and color, and a fitted dress and proper boots. Wear make up.
To seal the deal make a prop. Personally I'd make her powers. Buy some red and pink cellophane and thin rigid plastic. Cut them to look like her powers in that image you uploaded. Wire it up with some battery operated Leds. Hold them in your hands for photos when you pose.

Guarantee you'll be the one people like.
