Bartz would probably be recognized because of Dissidia, but they're some difficult costumes to make for what would be so little recognition.

Jefferson Holeraw, the Absolute Evil Art pioneer from Enki Bilal's December 32nd. French comics are pretty popular in my area, but the album in question isn't. It's not a problem, though. Even if no-one recognizes me, it'll be a neat costume.

Not the poster, but there are a couple eroge I'd like to cosplay from. Eroge are fun and there shouldn't be shame in enjoying them, plus eroge tend to have really great costume designs. And I know they're not quite eroge, but raising sims with some erotic elements like Princess Maker (and I heard Littlewitch Romanesque is like that too? I want to play it so badly) are my catnip.

The same could be said for plenty of non-eroge characters though, and at least the assumption is already out there and the cards are on the table. By default a person who admits to knowing your character is readily revealing their power level. There are usually plenty of girls who see the costume and just think it's cute, too.

I see the Zanthia cosplay that you are talking about as well, I'm pretty disappointed by it. All the different outfits she had in the game were pretty great. I'm pretty tempted to cosplay her anyway even if I wouldn't be recognized because I could get away with reusing it to wear to a ren fair. I would definitely carry around her potion book and a couple of flasks.

My dream cosplay group for that would be to get someone to cosplay Marko and also the hand. Even then the number of people that would recognize us could be counted on one hand.

What I want most to cosplay as is a Zorai from Saga of Ryzom (either crossplay as female or just inexplicably be a male with a female mask), but I'm severely depressed and have no crafting skills.
