I think what anon meant to say is that she has ok color theory. She hasn't just matched the pink of the dress, but brought out that salmon color via shoes and hair accesory. She has brought out those little yellow things in the print too. Would have been great to see this with a salmony blouse, ditched the red accents she tried to pick up on, and some white accesories.
This coord is ita, but there is thought behind it and she did pretty good with those thoughts.

I was hesitant to post, but I will. I love the DC and Charm City community. They are so welcoming and some of the kindest people I ever met. I always hear about other communities fighting with each other, but I have never seen that in our community. However, I do not go to every single meet, so there may be things that I don't know about it. I honestly, don't want our group to change. I love how carefree they are. When it is a nice meet, we do dress up and are amazing at it. However, I am glad I am in a community that we don't have to be perfectly dressed in every meet. So far, I have not been posted in an ita thread yet on cgl, but it saddens me to see that some of my community members are here.

I think the photo was for some kind of fashion shoot for them. Everything they are wearing is from the same place 'We're All Mad Here'

The designer was really shady and tried charging 350usd a jsk. They had several bad reviews since the factory that made the dresses was pretty bad. And all the colors (like lavender) were different from the stock photos when the dresses or whatever arrived to people.

They finally realized it was a bust since they were probably only selling two or three dresses a run so now they just do mlp and token nerd brooches and necklaces now. Never seen a good outfit with any of their stuff either.

When starting out, have 1 blouse, 1 pair of shoes, 1 bag in matching colors. Buy dresses, skirts that have the same color as an accent color on the print. Instant matching for multiple coords. Then just buy more stuff. It helps to start with a coherent wardrobe and then diversify. When you have a lot of pieces its nice to make new coords and color schemes.

Browse the ita and good coord threads and learn what is considered good/bad.

Honestly that's what I've been doing. Most of my coords are very much on the casual side and even my fancier one's don't stand out to much because I'm more into Classic then the other styles (though I am starting to get more into Sweet little by little). I think the main thing is to make sure nothing clashes, your hair/makeup looks good, your clothes fit/are clean, and that you practice personal hygiene.

Just remember to wear a petti and a blouse with a collar when wearing a jsk/skirt.
