What's with the lack of panels involving the guests? There's barely any, and some guests don't even get a single panel. It's like they're making it so that the only way to actually see the guest you want to see is to shell out $50+ for an autograph/photo op.

I'm within view of the finish line on a commission for a pal (Tifa), two costumes for my boyfriend (Junpei and Guybrush) and doing great on my own costumes. I've got a three day weekend and an early release on Thursday, so I'm hoping to see all of this completed/in the 90s before Monday hits again.

The 999 costumes have been a very fun experiment. I've always been the type to make everything from scratch but my boyfriend and his friends like to just alter stuff, so that's the approach we are taking. (I am still making Junpei's stupid blue vest though, because stupid blue vest.)

Megacon was my first actual convention/cosplay experience but ive seen moved out of state. I remember my first year I actually met up with some people from cgl. They were really nice and it was a fun experience.

I don't miss Florida at all but I dont think my new local con (Tekko) will be as big.

Also it's okay. It was in a fairly small room last year and the DJ was kinda cringy, but the people were cool. I think it's a good way to find some people to party with in your hotel too.
My EX found me and was clingy to me the whole time last year, and when I danced with another boy he pulled me out and cried for like a hour in front of me asking 'why did i do that do him' so my night was kinda ruined.

When I say paper drawings, I mean literally pencil on notebook/printer paper. Not prints.

Conventions in general look better and are better for the congoers when inexperienced artists don't show up with minimal effort to sell. Some don't even bother showing up and make dead patches in the AA. Sorry if I offended you, but it does have a negative impact on the AA in general. There's a reason many are juried to avoid having ill-prepared artists.

Side note: Megacon will be claiming any unattended tables as of 2pm on Friday.

First time going to a con today. It was really cool. I liked the costumes. I was hoping for more Evangelion costumes. I only saw one and she was Misato. I asked her to do pic related. I hear Saturdays are much, much better. Anyways, I'll be cosplaying as Frank West from Dead Rising. Couldn't quite get the jacket right, but good luck getting a leather jacket in Florida mid April. Still, an hour of tailoring and it should look okay.

Best to avoid International. I'm not sure what direction you're coming from but you want to get onto Universal Blvd then turn onto Convention Way to get to the convention center. Universal blvd runs parallel to International but the traffic isn't nearly as bad.

I'm really glad Mega got their shit together when it came to organizing lines this year. Traffic wasn't nearly as bad, either. I really think there should have been more panels involving the guests, but after last year's disaster, I'd say Mega did a pretty good job managing this time (at least from my own experience).

Went on Saturday this year and Didnt cosplay. Have to say i was very surprised by the fact that i went around 1pm and saw very little congestion on Idrive. Got inside and saw ltierally 0 lines to buy wristbands, even though fuck their inflated priced and I just wore a plain green wristband and got into everything because con staff is pants on head retarded anyhow

but overall I must say compared to last 2 years things seemed so much more well managed, yknow, like an event that has been on for two decades should.
