There's definitely lots to do like >>8211852 said, with the size of AB and all. There's also anime screenings (dunno if you're into that since you mention game room, some people at AB aren't into anime) if that's something you're interested in. Those are nice for just relaxing and to check out something new or just re-watch something you like if they happen to play that.
There's so many different panels though, really just look through the guidebook when you get it at the con and read the little blurbs and shit. Panels are all mostly attendee-submitted though, so some are really great, others are really awful.

You might want to head out to MIT? The dreyfus building (I think that's what it's called? the one designed by frank gehry) might be close to what you're looking for. Not too knowledgeable about different kinds of architecture in boston, the next thing that I can think of that has any sort of "futuristic" look is the city hall building. It's kind of ugly I think, but the design itself is very like...it reminds me of something I would see in a dystopian future anime, if that's the kind of thing you're shooting.

All of us on Staff are aware of and know of and handle the '1449' group. If anyone wants to help us out by finding them sooner you can send us an email through our website or just talk with any convention staff to get in touch with their Head Staff who can point you to one of our directors, troubleshooters, or response teams that handle the underaged issue.

Most of the ones in that ring have been arrested and some facing criminal charges.

Friendly Reminder:
Giving minors alcohol or marijuana is illegal and will result in us pressing charges plus the minors family usually pressing charges. Police are on site and will not tolerate shenanigans.

Consider this a first and final warning.

We have no problems prosecuting for illegal activity what-so-ever.

I feel like I've never really heard of any dramawhores or lolcows in the higher-up staff (and if there are any in the lower ranks they've gotten kicked off). like, no one is embezzling money, the people that run it aren't dying for attention or sticking their noses in places that don't belong, the staff is generally pretty receptive to attendee ideas and opinions and takes concerns seriously, the invited guests are treated well, etc.

alrighty everyone. sorry for the long wait, I was eating. anyway, it all began 3 ABs ago, but it starts a bit before that with a little group called nerdfit. now nerdfit was basically known for being retarded internet 'trolls' and got big in the con scene around the are for a while. their antics included going to panels pissass drunk, and showing "lol XD hilarious" videos of them playing moonbase alpha. they pretty much disbanded and a few of them decided to still hang out at cons, and they threw a party 3 ABs ago in their hotel room number 1449. now this party was not really a regular party it was full of underaged bullshits getting pissass drunk with no regulation and one of the girls passed out during the duration of the event with no one trying to help her. some spergy drunk fuckhead let in one of the hotel staff who called the hotel and con security. the leader and drunk underaged girl sneak out before the staff manage to get on the scene, and then the party goers responded by pretending no one was there and hiding in a dark room. after a while he comes back and gets bitched at after almost getting all of his friends in trouble.
they then formed a group of retarded frat-nerds drinking and being drunk as fuck at the con all day, offering out flasks of who knows what and allowing anyone into their room with either booze or $10 bill.
he personally almost got kicked from his own group and also got kicked out of nauticon and a fight broke out in the room at otakon.

that's pretty much the whole story. one of my friends is in their friend's circle and so i know a great deal about the whole thing.

During parties like this, people really need to be aware that everyone has different limits and make sure that no one is in dangerous territory, especially if they're underage or unfamiliar with drinking. The word you are looking for is "volunteer." Nobody who shows up to assist the day of con gets a staff badge. If you're staff, you should know that.

Fine, but there are better ways to warn people about a potential threat to themselves than by posting someone's full name. If he committed a crime, he should be arrested. However, untill charges are brought against a person it is not excusable to make their info public, as this could result in people approaching him at the con and potentially starting a problem.
