What are seagull meets like? Stories?

>> No.8179300

Everyone goes down to the beach with a spade and a speculum and shovels as much sand into their vaginas as possible.

>> No.8179302

loud faggots with little to no social filter who just talk about cgl and memes 90% of the time

the last one i went to was literally a group of girls rehashing all the stupid shit they post on this board, despite the fact that all of them are regular users and had seen each other's posts

Exactly how I imagined them to be.

4Chan, much like coworkers, is best to be kept out of my real life.

>> No.8179392

I heard that they're pretty enjoyable, but I guess it depends on what con you go to? I've missed out on the ones for ACen, but I've heard good stuff from CollossalCon. Seagulls tend to be older and with most of them being 21 and up, they generally meet up at the waterpark's hot tub bar. Apparently, even though there's that awful reputation to uphold, people aren't as cunty as they are online.

First meet I went to we all introduced ourselves and had a rite of passage talking about Queen PT, then played werewolf and ordered pizza. Werewolf has since become a tradition though last year we had to settle for McDonald's. The meets usually end up with a large group of us drinking in a nice hotel room and it's pretty fun. This is east coast though.

I'm glad you had a good time anon but this sounds a bit like my idea of hell. I think I'm probably best claiming ignorance or at least indifference when it comes to /cgl/.

I understand if you don't like socializing but if that's true then I don't think any meetup is for you.

>> No.8179453

I saw a video on YouTube someone took of one, and they were extremely loud and brash and literally shouting over each other.

this is always what happens

It's more a question of I come here when I don't want to be social and the component of '/cgl/ memes, in-jokes and drama lulz' irl that sounds monumentally unappealing.

I actually hate drama shit and mostly come here to keep up to date with con news, pretty pictures and lolita fashion release etc, I also try to help out in coord help threads where I can. It probably sounds like I'm in the wrong place, but I like to be able to dip n' and out of this stuff, no mess, no fuss. Not to mention I find tumblr, cosplay forums etc a bit of a ballache (the fact I've seen footage from some of these meets probably doesn't help either).

Ah, yeah, the PT stuff was mostly an icebreaker since it was everyone's first time meeting each other. There weren't really any memes other than that and now we all know each other outside of /cgl/ so it's easier for things to get started.

Uk meets are just embarrassing, went to one in 2013 it was gross awkward guys and a bunch of girls so drunk they were vomitting and all with embarassing bad sense of humour

I learned one of my classmates was a seagull before I became one, and she really helped me refine my taste and gave me the lolita critique I needed to hear. She also introduced me to lacemarket (I wasn't fully into lolita until I met her)

It's like that murder mystery game where everyone sits in a circle and two people are made "werewolves" or murderers or whatever without anyone else knowing. Two people are killed each round and one person is hung after being voted on by the town. If they correctly get rid of both werewolves, the town wins. If they keep getting it wrong and either one or both werewolves are left in the end, the werewolves win.
