I'll post some stuff since there's crickets. I'm looking to seriously start building up a himekaji wardrobe now that I have money. I have some gyaru-able pieces but besides that not sure where to start.

There are some cute outfits in here. Can someone give me a quick and dirty rundown of what himekaji entails? I've never heard of it before.

Yeah, neither of those are really good.

I have one of those Disney/Secret Honey collaboration dresses and the quality's not that great. The underarm area pilled a lot after one wear and it's pretty short for me (I'm 5'2"). Print didn't run when I chucked it in the washing machine though.

The Frozen collection looked way better. Is the bodice of Sleeping Beauty one made of denim (I hope I'm seeing things, I really do...)?

I have a question regarding shoes and bags, do you anons buy brand, use ones bought locally, or what? I'm asking because while my wardrobe is steadily expanding, I feel like it's lacking in this category. The ones I have are bought locally and well-made, but at the same time look a bit meh with rest of the clothing (you know, no cute details etc.). Then I have one boston bag from Liz Lisa and I'd be afraid to carry in it more than a book and wallet. I have no idea what quality are shoes from LL or Ank Rouge and if they're worth it.

Any suggestions?

Their first two Rapunzel dresses were perfect, though.

Which dress is it? I have a sweater that tore from a badly misaligned seam, I guessed it was some QC error.

Cute girly styles with soft or muted colors especially pastel pink, blue, beige, white, tan, and cream. Popular brands are Liz Lisa and ank rouge.

It was from their Alice in Wonderland collection from Winter 2014. Pilling's not a QC problem, it's them using shit fabrics.

I also had a sailor style underbust skirt from their S/S collection (not sure which year) and the buttons weren't sewn on very securely. That said, the buttons on my AP Toy March parka needed a lot of reinforcing too.

Check out fururun, they usually have a lot of lizlisa stuff for super cheap if you don't mind secondhand stuff. It can be a good way to experiment with style without committing to full prices

Quality wise, I love LL bags and shoes. I've used my bag daily and somehow it still looks new. I don't put it in dirt or anything, but it resists quite a bit.

Shoes are a bit tougher though. The sizing can vary a bit between styles so be careful of that. I'm not really clumsy so I haven't had trouble keeping them nice, but if you are, certain styles would scratch easily (like pu). But I really like the quality, comfort varies greatly by style.

Are there any other brands that does himekaji? All I know of is Liz Lisa, La Parfait, and Jesus Diamante.

Bobon 21 and i think also some stuff that sells To Alice. Both taobao shops.
About japanese brands i think Swankiss, Milk, Amo, Katie.

>> No.8178798

>>8178790
Amo is a person, not a brand. MILK and Katie are more larme-kei, not princessy enough for himekaji

There is some DreamV stuff that would work. I like their shoes and some of their bags.

I thought brands for larme kei would work too for himekaji, my bad. I tend to mix the styles a lot...

Amo's shop is Lunatic Lemony Lollipop if anyone is interested

Thank you for reply! I've heard that items in lucky bags may be a bit lower quality, so maybe the bag they're in is the same case (I'm talking about this year white boston one).
About shoes, I'm not damaging them easily (even the cheapest ones survive at least two years), but comfort is big issue for me - the only comfortable pair of shoes I have was made to order. It would be a huge bummer, to not be able to walk in pair shipped across the world, haha. I guess if there's problem with sizing, the pumps are out of question then.

Most gyaru brand lucky packs are around the same quality as normal, maybe slightly less. However, Liz Lisa had the option of buying a lucky pack with pre-released items in their store, so you can get ordinary items in lucky packs if that option is available.
>>8179248
Larme kei brands definitely work for himekaji. It all depends on how you style it.

>> No.8181285

>>8179737
Yeah, I haven't had much luck with the lucky pack bags. They are okay though. The bags you buy alone are pretty nice though. My only complaint is I wish they had feet to protect the bottom.

You could always check reviews. I'm a size 7.5US and I was trying on a bunch of L size instore. Some were too tight to walk in, others were perfect. Wedge styles are always more comfortable to walk in. The flat shoes were good as well. My comfort issues were with a few heels that were high enough to put pressure on my toes and didn't have the space to accomadate.

La Pafait and Jesus Diamante are just hime, not himekaji - the kaji part of himekaji stems from "casual"

Try Ank Rouge, Tralala/Penderie, and Bobon21.
