I realized I don't like OTT and was just wearing it because that's what everyone else was wearing by the time I was able to start wearing lolita, so that's why I'm making the switch. I should have done it a long time ago, but better late than never.

For me it's just been Lolibrary and HelloLace. Searching vaguely for the type of item and checking through all years usually turns up something good, but other times I've had to search for vague terms and see if it pulled up anything in someone's wardrobe post. For example, I searched Atelier Boz oldschool velvet OP and found one I have from someone's post and it was from 2001. Other items I just accept that I can't find unless they pop up on second hand and I search whatever Japanese terms that the seller used.

I had a lot of trouble finding out how to order from them...but if you shoot them an email with a link to the item you want and state you're in the US(if you are) they'll link you to overseas shipping options that you add to your cart with your item on their site and if you can't get your browser to translate to another language you can use alterose's guide review(4chan thinks the link is spam meh) Hope this helps!

My (new) pic is from the 2010 stock photo and it looks the same (except for the color).
It's weird their promo photo (the one that I posted before) doesn't have the lace bit at the bottom, never even noticed it!

I need some help! My style of Lolita is a mix of old school and pre-deco sweet, like around 2007-2008 style sweet. I want to stick to that look, and I need new shoes, but I notice all of those cords are always worn with the old style chunk Lolita shoes. Now, I love those shoes and think they make the look, but I'm a klutz and I have problems wearing any kind of heel and I feel like it would be stupid for me to get a show I can't wear just because it's cute. Would it look stupid to have an all old school coord or an old sweet coord and then have flat shoes, like tea parties or Bodyline's 251? If you think it would work could you please give me some examples?

I think when the fashion first got popular there weren't shoes made in a rainbow of colors, so most people just had a couple pairs of black or white shoes. I personally think it can be a cute accent to an outfit, like having a pair of standout red shoes.
