Basically what >>8168791 said. It's a public/con event so it doesn't exactly fall under our jurisdiction. I do find it unlikely though because as far as I'm aware shes been trying to get in for free and as far as I know she hasn't been successful, not to mention she would still have to pay to get into the tea party as well. At this point it looks like she would be sitting at a table alone anyways, so I do hope you all come regardless. There will be plenty of people to talk to so you wouldnt have to worry about being alone with her, as I know that was the concern of several people. If she is causing an issue, I don't see why I wouldn't be able to ask her to leave, and in the situation she's in it wouldn't be wise for her to draw more negative attention to herself. If you are in the Tucson area, keep your eye out for Tucson meets in the near future. Since she is now banned she wouldn't have any knowledge of any scheduled events, so everyone can feel safe attending again.

It used to be better, but last year was a really shit year. Upped the prices on everything, I think they actually lost room so it was more crowded than ever, they brought a lot of shit in to attract "bigger, more mainstream crowds" which just caused their to be more shit, and overall it wasn't a fun time.

The only reason I liked PCC was because they were the only cons in this state where the raves had a good amount of people.

At least AZHP does a good job putting together the game room at PCC and Saboten-con.

It was definitely a lot more cramped and some of the guests were impossible to see without standing in line way in advance, but that's kinda the way it's been lately. The AZ lolita comm is shit. I miss the old days when we were still on LJ as a way to plan things. Our crew was full of itas but we all got along and no one back stabbed each other for popularity. We did have a little drama but it was more personal stuff from friends rather than the community as a whole gossiping and being little bitches.

I think that everyone coming forward with their experiences is what finally tipped the scale. The only interactions I've had with Dom were during meetups and she always loudly and openly shit talked people. So if she was doing this stuff during meetups i think that falls under ban-worthy stuff.

Greg's been treating his staff badly for years. He totally manufactured the walk out at PCC too. It's funny cause when he left PCC he told us all he was leaving of his own accord and that he wouldn't mind if we still worked for PCC. its alright as long as you live in town or close enough to not need a hotel. I'm 5 minuets away by freeway so its a fun way to relax and meet up with old friends. I always go for a few pannels, but the one thing going for it this year and last year is i can go down to 4th or explore downtown while waiting between panels

You know honestly, I've been in the comm for years. You can't judge it on cgl alone. The majority of name droppers are dramalamas themselves and rarely interact in the comm anyways.

First off, the worst part about candice Ida she's too nice. Sweet as can be but gives even tge worse people the benefit of the doubt, which includes the next person.
Dominique is full of herself and yearns for attention. She's a shitty person who back talks you I'd you're fat or don't own any brand cheats on her boyfriend and thinks she's morally better than you if you're not a vegan. But as long as you know that she's easy to ignore it's avoid. Its even easier to avoid her now that she's banned.
Finally, Alex was a total shit head a few years back. I user to hate her because she was so shitty and obnoxious. But she's giving up on that shit and she's been almost obnoxiously nice. It's sincere too.
