I just ran across this and was pretty torn. It actually looks decent and I didn't want to post it to an ita thread. I've been seeing a rise in people doing African themed coords, and this is one of the best I've seen. I just wish she'd worn some sort of legwear.

It does look bare, but I can't think of any legwear that wouldn't look uncomfortable. Tights, even sheer, would look over-dressed, I think. And socks wouldn't look good, either. Neither would thigh highs. So I think bare works in her favor, here. But that's just my opinion.

I think she looks pretty great. Is it homemade?

My vote is for open toe heels, preferably with some busy design to match the busy pattern on her dress. Maybe with an anklet or two (I have no idea if anklets are African, sorry) to bring the design further up the bare leg.

Open toes specifically doesn't leave you wondering if she's supposed to be wearing tights or something.

I can't help feeling like Reina's transformation could have been way better. The process seems so lazy and I think that Reina would have looked better not in a jewel tone colors (muted/non-muted pastels, maybe?). Overall, I think Misako's bullshitting her way through the video and doesn't really know how to apply makeup, let alone know what suits certain skin tones,

Yeezus, I thought this was Hildekitten for a second. Not your typical ita, but definitely ita. Non-lolita/normalfag accessories don't always work with lolita and neither do those colors together.

I adore this dress, but even though the skirt isn't poofy, I do wish that she had worn a head piece, maybe a hat to balance this out. Maybe different shoes?

She's cute and all, but besides the dress nothing really seems to work. The shoes have to go, they are not remotely lolita and I think this isn't a dress that can be worn in a casual way. I can't really tell what's going on with the blouse and shawl thing, but considering the cut of the dress, I can't imagine a shawl looking flattering. She also needs a different petticoat and a headdress and I wish she had incorporated an accent color like navy. Maybe this really was just a casual coord, but the dress is just too fancy for that.

Yeah petti needs to be bigger/correct shape to balance out your fatness. Melikestea makes fabulous petti's with tons of poof, and she also has a tutorial online if you're handy with a needle and don't want to pay the price.

the only acceptable thing in this coord is the wig, and possibly the jsk (although it looks like a bad replica). Need a real blouse, real shoes and real leg wear. "Real" being actually lolita appropriate in this case. I am not going to call vendetta because I have called my own pictures similar names in the past, it is fine to laugh at and insult yourself....
