I dance to a kpop/japanese/parapara dance routine every time I wake up. Its great exercise and a great way to get your blood pumping first thing in the morning. I've learned many dances this way.

I also own a hug pillow just because I think it looks cool.

I like how anime looks, I like the music, the cuteness, dress in jfashion daily

But I'm not that into anime... cartoons are where its at.

Lesbian fujoshi here, have to admit this is mostly true. I ship yuri pairings but yuri itself.. aside from being hard to find (as compared to yaoi), when you do find it it's either straight up dude spank bank material or the "A-anon, I like you.." "I like you too, Anon-chan! Let's hold hands! -roll end credits as one kisses the other's cheek-" crap, so I end up getting my homo-love needs from yaoi because it's just so easy to access and I'm not interested in all in the straight stuff.

I hope you find a yuri-friend eventually though. Hell, you might could convert some fujoshi with good yuri recommendations?

Dude. You're white as fuck.

Although I've heard of a lovely lady that might be a good partner for you. Apparently she's also white bread claiming to be ~so wapanese~

Even though I already have a doctor's in neuroscience, I'm still participating in a Japanese class at my university in order to be able to teach in Japan for a year minimum.

I made a friend with a Japanese exchange student the other day. We were talking about lolita fashion, and eventually the topic turned to how she thought it was gross to see older women into it, mentioning how it was supposed to reflect doll-like and a young "look." She mentioned how most Japanese in the fashion look really young, then turned to me and said "Well, you know, you look young too but I can't tell your age." She was then very surprised that I was 23, and said I look much younger than that.

I'll admit the weeb inside of me swelled with pride, as though I just got a seal of approval from a GENUINE NIPPON (TM).

I find that hilarious because most everyday Japanese lolitas I have seen are far from doll like and young looking.

So lolita fashion really is about trying to look like a little girl?

I can't speak for everybody, and she wasn't into lolita fashion herself, but she did say it was gross when she saw 30+ Japanese women trying to dress in the lolita style.

I'm just curious about how the Japanese view lolita fashion. I know I have seen other lolitas get offended when they are told they are dressed like children but at the same time some push looking young/child-like as the ideal.

I actually thought it would be more common for women in their late 20's to 30's being into lolita fashion because of how expensive it is. I wonder how easy it is for Japanese youth to afford it.

This used to be me. Didn't really hate living like that, but it felt pretty relaxing every day just daydreaming. I miss those 2D world daydreams
