I was starting to think I was the only one who felt that way about both (and don't even get me started on Vicky).
All of my friends kiss the asses of Gladzy and KBND for some reason and I just don't get it.
Gladzy has talent but her armored projects are really bad for the most part and they all look the same. To me she seems like she just wants to ride of the coattails of famous cosplayers like JNig. She seems really fake and I can't stand her face.

I didn't know about the rapist thing (Is it true and is there confirmation somehow?) and to be honest it strikes me a bit speechless. I knew the group was bad, but not on that level of bad (if it is true, anyway).
It makes me sad that mediocre groups like this get any sort of popularity. I think they're doing a "how to cosplay" panel at Taste of Animethon and I don't get why they think they have the skills or knowledge to do something like that.

Then again, 80% of the idiots who run panels at Animethon don't know what they're doing in general. Maybe they think they'll get respect and popularity or something.

Hi guys, like I said, tea party staff won't be checking the soles of your shoes for labels. We will mostly just be strictly monitoring print counterfeits. I'm not really knowledgeable about brand shoes in general because i don't fit them but I will look into these specific pairs - if you want to shoot Tea Party staff an email, we can keep in contact after this thread 404s about these specific items.

If you feel iffy about something though, I'd say it's not worth the risk of offending the designer. Go for an offbrand option. I know personally, I will be wearing offbrand shoes (Fluevogs) because you can never go wrong repping a Canadian designer!

Hey anons. There was an anon in the last thread that was interested in the maid cafe I was going to be running at my school and I wanted to let them know that we've got the event set up and are actually going to be letting people know about it. Name is the email that we've got for our club, so please send us an email if you're interested in the information. It's in the GTA so that no one from other provinces emails in confusion.

The event is completely free, but due to limited seating we ask you to RSVP via email ahead of time.

Information that I can give is that it is happening on February 25th, at 4:30pm until 6pm on my school campus. Sorry that it's on a Wednesday and that's an awkward date, but if we wanted it on school grounds then it had to be then.

Details like actual school and room location will be given upon request through email. As I mentioned it is a free event and that will probably bring tons of people in.

If you're interested in the anime cons Otafest in Calgary is probably the best one in the Province. They put noticeable effort into what they do over there whereas Animethon is always the same with the same shitty staff and Vicky being a total cunt.

If you go to Animethon do not expect anything less than shit staff, horrible venue, and basically bad everything.
I live in this god forsaken city and I am ashamed by our con every year.

In general though, Alberta has shit cons and communities compared to other places in Canada. Be prepared to see horseface Morgan Lynn (pic related) and the group "Kawaii Baka Neko Desu" flaunting their shit as if they're good cosplayers as well as a truckload of weeaboos who worship Jessica Nigri.

I think Otafest is the better out of the two big AB cons. This does not mean I consider either of them to be great in any way.

I wish there was something.... anything anyone could do to save these cities and their nerd community but I don't think that's even possible ever. We have to keep dealing with the immaturity in this community and it seriously makes me want to move back to where I came from.
