didnt see one so circle lenses general!
found this photo on tumblr with no source, anybody know what lenses the 2nd one on the right going down is wearing?

They are shopped to look like cat eyes. The original lens was probably Geo Super Nudy in blue.

For cosplaying, is it better to have colored circle lenses with enlargement, or just color only, no enlargement?

Also, do you guys prefer a thicker outline around the eyes or a thinner one?

I went to lens village because they had many pics of the lenses in different lighting so it's easy to see what they look like.

I got the Kimchi Viva blue in october and I used them for Halloween and since that day I look soo much better and "cuter" with them on.

and it's cheaper than going through the eye doctors for prescribed color contacts or through my halloween store the required a prescription through the doctor then the lenses would cost about $75-$90 for a pair.

I'm thinking of getting more colors of that brand

I think it's a personal preference also it depends on your own eyes. Some people like the enlargement and need/want it for their eyes to pop in photos whereas other may look way too alien-ish.

I assume you are referring to the limbal ring around the outer edge of the lenses that sit on your iris border? I like a thicker ring as it helps with enlargement and I have super dark eyes so it kind of just blends in instead of sticking out like a dark black loop.

Since most circle lenses come in a single size, how many of you are wearing them without having that exact 8.6mm base curve? How far off are you from it? Is it that bothersome?

>> No.8091489

>>8090880
I haven't asked them if they sell single lenses.

>>8090884
The one eye being toric situation pretty much makes it impossible to wear regular circle lenses. It also depends on how bad the astigmatism is.

>>8091034
Technically you can get away with a ±0.2 from 8.6 but even at 8.4 or 8.8 it starts to get a little uncomfortable. I would say matching it exactly or being ±0.1 from 8.6 is the best. Also depends on the base curve to the lens itself. EOS has some 8.8 lenses and some other brands have started making 8.7 ones.

>>8090787
A lot of them have been shopped to hell and back but from what I can see 1 left is GnG Baby Panda Pink, 2 left might be a very shopped version of Dueba Barbie Pink, 3-4 on the left is either Geo Sakura Pink or Vassen Sakura Candy Pink Brown. 5-6 is I.Fairy Moe Moe Brown. Right side 2, 5-7 is probably some version of the Super Nudy Series. Not really sure on 1,3, and 4 on the right side. If I had a bigger image it might help.

Your optician. I never advise anyone to wear lenses without at least getting a vague idea of their base curve and instruction on how to care for contacts properly. Yes it costs money, but so would fucking up your eyes.
There are different materials and sizes as well, material and diameter affects the base curve that fits

>> No.8091908

>>8091034
I've been prescribed 8.5-8.6 by the optometrist (different material = slightly different BC apparently). I'm not far off from reg. circle lenses so they're not bothersome. I have had circle lenses that slid around quite a bit though, making me wonder if they really were 8.6.

Any suggestions for what I could use for Giffany? I can't seem to find a decent dark pink anywhere, everything is pastel..

>> No.8091964

>>8090226
See you optometrist first to get fitted, your prescription, and basic how-tos for contact lenses. You can also ask them any newb questions there and actually get a professional answer. They teach you how to put on/take off and general lens care too. If they don't offer it right away then don't be afraid to ask.

>>8090791
It's been there for a while and has past the supposed last day of the sale so there's no telling.

>>8090884
I believe torics usually come as a pair unless otherwise stated. I'm sure some stores who would bother to make the request to the manufacture could do it but I'm not sure who actually does. I would buy a pair in torics and buy a single for the other eye or buy a pair of both so you have twice as long of the use. Torics generally are limited in color tough but all designed of torics come with a non-toric version so you're not completely out of luck.

>>8091034
I've been fitted by 2 different optometrist and the contacts I got from each had a 0.1 bc difference and neither of them slid. Circle lenses are generally okay for me and only slide a little if I don't blink for a while but it's not uncomfortable.

my friend from work said neo dali extra, but those are like 15mm. around 14.2mm looks best on me, so i was thinking of trying neo dali chocolate brown or something similar.

I have had this burning question for ages about the safety of imperfect prescriptions.
On both Honey Color and Pinky Paradise, the prescription increments are at halves after a certain number. If I have one eye that is at a -5.75, is it worth it/safe to go one quarter lower (-5.50) to fit the options listed? What would the difference be?
