Oh God, this thing is next week and I have yet to choose a cosplay to do! I'm tall and skinny. Give me ideas!

Tall and skinny aren't enough details. We don't even know if you're a chick or a dude. Regardless, there's a suggestion thread for things like this.

Dont cosplay. Instead dress nicely and get bitches (or dudes depending on preference.) by standing out amount a sea of dudes in utilikilts/cargo and gaming tshirts.

Never been to a PAX: what is the ratio to vidya vs non-vidya cosplay?
I don't have any video game costumes complete but I do have comics/anime.
Is it as awkward as wearing anime cosplay to a comiccom or totally common place?

Last pax prime I noticed lots more non video game costumes and it looked really stupid IMO. I dunno how other ppl do PAX but I just don't have time to cosplay unless it is to show to a specific dev team there. I'm too busy trying demos and going to panels. It is uncomfortable walking around in a costume in the exhibitors hall so unless there is a reason I recommend against it.

If you have to maybe go with comic characters? There is Dc Online and Marvel Heroes.

What modern vidya games are you into? You could probably get away with a male elf.

>> No.8060168

whatever, Pax south general.

>> No.8060170

It's a brand new pax
I'd be surprised if there were very many cosplays at all, so don't feel like you need to cosplay at it. Its not required or anything.

But just cosplay who you like, if you want to cosplay.

>video game convention
>anime costumes

I always felt this was stupid, but people end up doing it anyway, Not to mention a lot of popular anime has video games, so technically it's related. Thankfully this is in texas, so this pax won't have a bunch of stupid League of legend cosplayers like the shills in california.

Pax sold out, most likely by people coming in from town. It's going to have cosplay.

Pax south isn't sold out yet.
You can still buy Friday and Sunday passes.

It's not going to have much cosplay since usually pax doesn't have very much cosplay. (Compared to a comic con or anime con.)

That's true, but it's not like they didn't have too little three day passes. They likely sold enough for it to be barely enough people to walk through the convention center, so it's going to be packed. It might not be a lot of cosplay, but there's definitely going to be some there, even a significant amount. Remember, Texas is also home to cons like Akon. I wouldn't doubt the numbers that are coming.

OH SHIT GET HYPE.

Is there a list of Exhibitors?
I'd like to know which companies are coming so that I can prioritize my costume line up to relevant outfits.
