What I suspect is that the convention wanted to release some positive news since they got off on a bad foot having a problem with their host hotel. So I think they did this guest announcement just to clear the air. It's very early still (con isn't until December) so I'm sure they will build up to more usual sorts of guests (hopefully a Japanese brand, Misako, something like that) sometime in the coming months. I've met Kate and Lor seems like she could be fun to meet judging from her videos, so this doesn't dissuade me from going but they aren't the level of guests that would draw me in if I weren't already considering going.

Some girls are e-famous because they add something to the greater whole that people like. I know it's unpopular to say this here but anyway: I like Lor. I think she's very helpful for newbies, has some decent youtube videos, is very active and various social media and even though I don't know her she seems to be a nice and fun person to hang around with. Goofy and dorky enough to have fun with but not cooler than you, and decently dressed yet not as intimidating as actual top tier Lolitas.
I can imagine her running a panel for newbies, or maybe moderating some events, contests, whatever.

It was just an aspect that could have made her interesting. There still are some talented people with handmade dresses (I cannot find nor remember where it was from but there was a girl at a con or Lolita event who had lovely handmade dresses and won a competition).
Insted she just wears brand like anyone else, but there's literally nothing interesting about. Neither her coords nor anything like maybe handmade headwear or accessoires or whatever. She doesn't do anything interesting like yt videos, interacting a lot with her followers or models for brands on a regular basis or anything to set her apart from other Lolitas.

As said you can tell she's in for more e-fame and promoting the fuck out of her new youtube channel (which she only makes to gain more e-fame). Both Moss Marchen and Moss Badger were vendors at Rufflecon. Moss Marchen doesn't do dresses, only jewelry.

Moss Badger had dresses in the fashion show (see attached photo). Moss Badger's designer also does doll clothing under the label "DollyRockers", which is probably more fun & profitable than doing lolita dresses

They are both lovely people with full-time jobs, which I think is the main reason they don't sell more of their pieces. It's hard to find the time to make stock if you're also working and trying to enjoy your life!
