I wore this to TI4 for only one day. I didn't get any photos taken there because I was mostly watching the games and not walking around.

I've seen 1 death prophet and her(boyfriend?) as axe.

I'm planning a pre-fallen venge cosplay for 2015 TI5 hopefully. If I can go that is. If not I'll wear it to my local con.

The construction on her cosplay was top knotch. She sewed with silk (which is tricky) and had layers upon layers of fabric, details, and bows.

Here's one from afa 2014 Singapore. I can't explain how happy I was to see dota cosplay in the local anime convention. They truly were the only dota stuff I see.

There was a LAN a few weeks later and saw a rubick and cm. As well as tobiwan and sing2 for good measure.

I know it's not really part of cosplay, as it's about the costume, but it would've really looked so much better if he worked out for a month and put on a slight tan. You don't have to be as ridiculously buff as the character himself, but like this it's just kinda jarring.

Wanna fabricate something? The model files for all the Heroes and their various outfits are right in the client and you can view them from any and all angle however you'd like to with a Model Viewer.

Not enough? 3D print them.

DotA 2 is probably the most cosplayable game right now, yet there's not much cosplay of it because "hurr League is poplar". It's a shame.

I do hope we'll get a wayyyy better Cosplay contest at ESL One Frankfurt 2015.

I personally don't like that design. It's just a "nigri"-fied version. I don't know why you wouldn't just tape your chest, and proceed as normal. Hell, do the long hair, but there's no reason not to construct the the rest of the outfit as normal.

That's just my opinion though. As another girl who plays DotA, if I saw a girl wearing an outfit based on that pic I wouldn't think she actually plays.

The problem with most gijinka's is that they are really much worse than the design they're based off of. You're taking a male, samurai-based warrior, and changing it to a chick with massive tits and no armor because ?? What? You think it looks better? Or simply because its easier for you to say I have "internalized sexism" and I should "educate myself" because I think you're taking an easy route to make an easy costume. I would rather see someone attempt the real design and be so-so, then someone cosplay that design, that essentially looks like an 90s anime character. It's a joke.

There's not a single "easy", or even medium difficulty character to cosplay from Dota2. All of it requires a mixture of knowing how to use different sewing techniques, prop construction, armor construction, etc. That "Battle Elsa" Jnig cosplay is a better Crystal Maiden Gjinka than that artwork is of Juggernaut, because it's actually intricate. Aside from the bare midrift, it could almost be a real alt. outfit.

So if you want to cosplay as a basic bitch version of a character, don't be surprised when people think you're probably a basic bitch DotA player too. I'm not sexist just because you don't want to have to try.
