I will say that Liz Lisa is catering more towards himekaji, dreamV seems to have much more oneegyaru and himekaji and MA*RS is more agejo, but many items will still work well with himegyaru.

I definitely agree here. To be honest I came to himegyaru from lolita myself and I noticed that most of the brands seem to be trashy as fuck. Cheap lace, cheap materials etc. Even Jesus Diamante, which dresses cost upwards of $400 usually, has the same cheap lace as my offbrand coat from taobao.

It's definitely something to get used to, but then it also means that it's much easier to do DIY, since you don't have to keep to such a high standard of materials.

I will say, if you want to DIY, steer clear of violet lebeaux. She's pretty tacky herself and doesn't seem to grasp the fashion well. SuiPrincess is a good gaijin himegyaru to follow though, even if her wigs are sometimes odd for her face.

This is why most gyaru I know hate lolitas. A complete disregard for what gyaru really is. Hime gyaru is put of style, gyaru may wear roma, hime kaji and other sweet gyaru styles now but pretty much everything you are posting is out of style. La Pafait stores have closed besides one and nobody wears Jesus Diamante any more. Our style is not a trashy version of yours, lolita is ugly and frumpy looking.

Gyaru clothing sizing is generally pretty small, I know Ank Rouge and Swankiss run pretty small, however I think Liz Lisa and Dreamv are pretty forgiving (I'm not sure about the taobao brand BonBon21). Dreamv even has a plus size line.

Well, most lashes are if you're careful enough, you just have to add a bit of makeup remover to the glue and you can carefully pull it off. I do think that dollywink is worth the money. I got some cheap japanese brand(kirakira?) for christmas and they were so hard and uncomfortable!

I'm very intrigued by Black Diamond. What's the ideology supposed to be behind kuro gyaru in general? Everything BD says seems to be along the lines of either "I hate the way I look" or "we are all about exuding confidence 100%". They want to spread kuro around the world, but so often look down in their photos to appear shy or angelic because it's cute.
