Lucky Packs edition!

Anyone get a gal brand lucky pack? Good? Bad? Fugly?

Post all gyaru stuff here!

Where can I find good himegyaru shoes for my giant feet? I wear US size 10-10.5 and usually wear a size 42-43 or size 26-26.5 I found a few pairs on aliexpress but it's hard to find anything similar.

I would say Taobao/Antaina. I got these in a size 43 and they fit really well. They're not super glitzy glam but they would be good for a more casual coord.

Jesus Diamante is the most popular brand and is also the most expensive.
Closetchild also has second hand Jesus Diamante as do some other rakuten shops like lady's off and tokyo alice.

Some items from the following stores work well too
Liz Lisa
>http://www.tokyokawaiilife.jp/shop/liz-lisa/
DreamV
>http://global.rakuten.com/en/search/?sid=dreamv&tl=100371
and
MA*RS
>http://lilimpark.jp/mars/

I will say that Liz Lisa is catering more towards himekaji, dreamV seems to have much more oneegyaru and himekaji and MA*RS is more agejo, but many items will still work well with himegyaru.

There are a few second hand gyaru groups as well on EGL and FB.

I definitely agree here. To be honest I came to himegyaru from lolita myself and I noticed that most of the brands seem to be trashy as fuck. Cheap lace, cheap materials etc. Even Jesus Diamante, which dresses cost upwards of $400 usually, has the same cheap lace as my offbrand coat from taobao.

It's definitely something to get used to, but then it also means that it's much easier to do DIY, since you don't have to keep to such a high standard of materials.

I will say, if you want to DIY, steer clear of violet lebeaux. She's pretty tacky herself and doesn't seem to grasp the fashion well. SuiPrincess is a good gaijin himegyaru to follow though, even if her wigs are sometimes odd for her face.

I don't think so either. I mean, she has some good ideas, but most of them are kind of bad. Especially her hair tutorials. I feel so bad for her hair, it looks like it's screaming every time she posts a tutorial and then she adds sprays and makes it worse. I just want to send her money for a blow out or something. I mean, I dye my hair too but damn girl!

What was this the wiki article for? It sounds like it is saying XX style (whatever the wiki was for) is also called Hime Gyaru and was derived from Roma. In other words, Roma is the basis of the Hime Gyaru style.

Not a gyaru so I'm not 100% if this is accurate history, but aren't you all saying Roma is derived from Hime? Seems a bit opposite to the wiki, unless this Roma is something else.

One of my friend from high school started behave like tumblr feminism and, to make it short, we aren't friends now.

I have a question for you. What do you think of colourful eye make up in gyaru (in any style)? Aside of fashion, I'm really passionate about make up in general and the over the top make up is what attracted me to it. I'm very intrigued by Black Diamond. What's the ideology supposed to be behind kuro gyaru in general? Everything BD says seems to be along the lines of either "I hate the way I look" or "we are all about exuding confidence 100%". They want to spread kuro around the world, but so often look down in their photos to appear shy or angelic because it's cute.

For a while I was able to see how these go hand in hand and compliment each other, and I still can to an extent, but this video made me curious.

They seem so BORED, and the complete opposite of confident. Maybe I missed the discussion when this video was released, but is their apparent boredom with their own music supposed to back up how "cool" they are? It just seems like a contradiction to what they say they are.

How do you guys feel about all the gyaru mags basically reprimanding gyaru now? Is this the end of gyaru? Have you guys seen the new scans of Ranzuki LIKE WTF!
