It seems that all the "bad" makeup pictures would look terrible without the makeup anyway.

If you do makeup, the key is to make it light. Use a brown rather than black on your nose, and honestly don't put those spots on your face. Deer don't have spots like that on their faces anyway.

Highlighting around the eyes. circle lenses if you feel comfortable with those. Thick upper liner, but leave the lower liner out or light to make the eyes actually appear bigger.

Also mess around with it before you actually go out. Show us photos, let us tell you if you look like an idiot.

Sort of? The ones that do it badly generally speaking are not any better looking in their other pictures, true. But its not because their faces are just shit (at least not completely). They just suck ass at makeup in general. If you actually know how to make yourself look good in the first place, you'll almost definitely find a way to make the faun look work for you.

Agreed, I just don't understand how people do it so badly especially when the girl does impeccable normal makeup. I have artistic skill but don't know shit about doing makeup- it still droves me crazy that they can't even do the white dots as perfect circles or draw a straight black line. Tempted to give this a crack but again all I do is the same foundation and eyeliner every fucking day (no primer, no concealer, no lips, no blush, no contouring/highlighting... Too complicate)

Sorry self post!

I was seriously getting angry when the whole faun makeup trend was going on, so I wanted to do something different. I decided to do lion (?) makeup just to spite the terrible trend in my own /special/ way.

Needless to say 2013 was a terrible year and the first year I tried to do complex makeup... this was the worst of it.
